If you want a good clunk, there's all these footswitches that would do the trick. Put a plastic cap on it, and you got a "turning on a machine" like effect. Anyway, I'd search on Ebay for one of those vintage switches; it's your best bet for finding a robust / industrial variation of these...

What about grabbing a 2-3mm rubber sheet for the solder points to sink into, so you can screw the whole panel onto an painted MDF board that's the exact size of the sleeve? With one of those photo frame stands, it would make like a nice object to sit on a desk or shelf or something. :)
