I reflowed the pot connections and I'm seeing their resistance on my multimeter. Any help on how to troubleshoot is mucho appreciado!

Just built the DD and powered it up. I forgot to insert the chip, so I unplugged it and inserted the IC. I fired it up and it just howls. Any tips on where to start? Can you kill the pedal or components if you forget to install the IC before you power it up? Thanks for all help!
