Thanks for the pics. The inch ruler is too rough for such a measurement. I recommend using a metric ruler.

i use pin sockets for the comp cap. So i can swap it in when i use different opamps. Recently i like my rat pedal with a more cleanish NE5534 opamp. A rat is a quite flexible distortion with the NE5534 or a CA3130 and the hard clipping diodes off.

If i learned something from this thread, always use an ic adapter.

That was also my thought. But if you want to use a standard ribbon cable, you are limited to 2.54 mm aka 1/10 inch between the wiring holes.

A short sanity check: Any buffers before the pedal? Maybe a tuner with a buffered out?

Active pickups (or buffers before) and GE transistors seem to be a problem.

Nice job! How did you fix the LED lense in the enclosure? Looks like a silicone ring.

My settings are little bit lower. Heat on 1 o‘clock, Boost and Range on 11.

My DB is not noisy. Try to relocate the signal input wire to the enclosure wall and try to shorten the +9v connection to the board. Hope that helps. I use the DB as helper to demud the soloing on the Les Paul neck humbucker. That works nicely.

Yeah, that looks a plan: away with the snubber caps and the excessiv filtering. After that the preamp section should look similar a vintage Vox AC15.
