The enclosure has vent cutouts on the back and the bottom so enough air flow gets through. The plates are getting 240volts but the heaters are at 9v. They are warm but not hot enough to cause any issues. When running at 12volts they get considerably hotter to the point that it might cause issues...

My flock did the exact same thing. I ended up swapping out 46 and 24 and reflowing. I think ultimately I had a bad 46 (I may have overheated it in reflows) combined with flow issues on the rotary child board. If you have header pins from Tayda they are hard to get the solder to stick to them in...
