    Box66 won't work

And to add my 2 cents: if the jacks are wired correctly and you don't get a clean/bypass signal, something is up with the foot switch. Try to re-flow pin 8 of the foot switch (maybe also others) and the connection from the foot switch board to the out jack might use some solder too (on the...

    Effects Layouts Desertron

Let me try to find it first, ha-ha. I can open it up and have a look .... and post pics here, if @VanWhy doesn't mind, of course, it's his build report after all. My BEAST is from the short lived Acid Age Electronics intermezzo, maybe 10 years ago?

    Effects Layouts Desertron

Well, I actually still have it, and I think it's one of the coolest muffs money can - or could - buy. There are 2 types of oscillation, one rather lowtuned that can be kept like in the background somehow, thickening the tone with a hint of crazyness lurking around the corner and the other is...

    DEFX Blur

No, not yet, I've been very busy, but I plan to ... Maybe in 1-2 weeks. I can post my experiences here.

    DEFX Blur

You're making sense, alright, kinda :ROFLMAO:

    DEFX Blur

Yeah, I was also thinking about a trimmer, maybe I'll just try some values in parallel to R14 first, without risking to butcher anything in place. That should get me an idea where my sweet spot is.

    DEFX Blur

    Thanks a lot @Feral Feline ... I'll try R14 then ...

    DEFX Blur

To round off my recent DEFX trilogy, here comes the BLUR, a clone of the Adenture Audio Fuzz Peaks II. It's a Muff at heart, with a clean blend, 2 clipping options, Mids on a 3-way toggle and a feedback loop on a momentary footswitch (Peak). I replaced the resistor (R31) that defines the range...

Why here? Left turn at Albuquerque

Damn, this is mind blowing on all levels and then some more.

(DEFX) KRUGER (Adventure Audio Dream Reaper)

Thanks ... and for once, I don't mind the size, as I can't handle 2 footswitches on a 125b, so BB suits me just fine for this one. And also thanks @Feral Feline - it's indeed crazy that the pcb doesn't cover the upper row of pots, with a random cap or two standing in the way.

Thanks! And looking forward to your super fuzz war build report. :)

(DEFX) KRUGER (Adventure Audio Dream Reaper)

Another great circuit from the masterminds at Deadend FX. It's a clone of the Adventure Audio Dream Reaper, which is ... well, it can be a lot of things or produce a wide array of different sounds. A lot of them are actually on the "not too crazy" side, I'd say, although the blurbs usually focus...

(DEFX) LOW BLOW (Katanasound Super Bass Fuzz)

I'd say the dry is full signal. I don't think the pcb is for side mounted jacks as the DEFX validation build has top mounted jacks. Lugs up/down with Lumberg jacks is only possible when using 2PDT footswitches. I'd recommend to use a BB2.

(DEFX) LOW BLOW (Katanasound Super Bass Fuzz)

This is a very cool bass fuzz, that somehow has it's own thing going on, combining "a bit of Superfuzz, with a bit of Green Ringer, providing extra spicy top end to a fuzzrocious fuzz", as Deadend says. I matched diodes (D4/D5) and transistors (Q4/Q5) and the octave on the footswitch is very...

a RAT with extras sauce and another amp-in-a-box

The LOWRIDER is a pcb from inverted cross audio, it's a RAT at heart with some additions. LEVEL, FILTER, GAIN are your usual supects ... then, CLEAN is the balance between the clean signal (processed by BODY) and the distorted signal BODY is a low pass filter applied to clean signal, SHAPE is...

Pink Goat (Fuzzhead BeeBaa) & Sumble Drive (Fuzzdog)

I boxed up two more .... Pink Goat is a based on the Roland AF-100 Bee Baa, this variation of the circuit was designed by the guy/fuzzhead from dirtboxlayouts (thanks Anders). Moonn made the PCB that I used. What's different? In the words of the man himself: "Ditched the boost switch and...

    Mofeta - cascading channels?

Wasn't that the idea with the 5 jacks? To have the possibility to go parallel ("Both in") or to go series: either brite --> normal or normal --> brite? And I don't see the mofeta offering those 3 options. But maybe I'm not getting the point ... carry on.
