Spirit Box no output when engaged

That's looking a lot better! Do you have an audio probe? Sounds like it's time to start probing and find where the problem is.

    Fuzzdog OCD Oscillation

Hi folks, but of a long shot but hoping someone can help. I recently finished a few of Fuzzdog's Disorder Drive's (their take on the OCD). All of them work perfectly except for one, which oscillates in the last 5% of the drive pot's range. The really interesting thing about the oscillation is...

Spirit Box no output when engaged

Use lots isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush to remove flux, that will do a much better job and won't leave any residue or debris. Some of your component leads look far too long. It's possible that some of these are touching under the belton brick and shorting somewhere. Cut these down to clean...

Capacitors for Muffin Fuzz Stomp '75

Depends on the capacitance. For picofarads (pF) use ceramic, for nanofarads (nF) use film box, for microfarads (uF) use electrolytic.

Isosceles Boost - 1st PedalPCB build and first waterslide decal!

This looks fantastic, you're already off to a great start!

Isosceles Boost - 1st PedalPCB build and first waterslide decal!

If you're using transparent decal paper your colours are always going to look a bit off when putting them on a darker background. They're always going to have some transparency because that's the nature of the product. The best way is probably using white decal paper and trying to print a...

    Recent Builds

I used 1.5uF as per the build docs. They're an odd value and a little tricky to find. I managed to get some from a local electronics chain in Australia called Jaycar and got a few spares, but they're also available at Mouser.

    1n4678 Zener Diode

That would be amazing! Thanks! Mouser code is 610-1N4678BK and he needs two. If you want to message me your paypal details I can ask him to send you some cash.

    1n4678 Zener Diode

Hi all, my buddy decided to build a Stockade Overdrive, but forgot to include any 1n4678 1.8v zener diodes in his order. The PedalPCB cart minimum is $5, and even then it's almost $15 just for shipping to Australia. Does anybody in Oz have 2 of these spare that I could buy? Or maybe know of a...

Black Hole (Sunn Model T Preamp)

I've tried mine through my Fender Hot Rod Deville 410, and it's VERY loud. It sounds great alone, but absolutely glorious with the boost. Could just be variance in the J201. After all, that's what the trimmers are there for.

Black Hole (Sunn Model T Preamp)

The one I build sounded phenomenally good without any adjustments, bias trimpots all set to noon, but just got even better when I set them to 4.5v (ish). It's a fantastic circuit, and I think you'd have to try pretty hard to make it sound bad.

    Switchcraft 9v DC Jack 722A...

Not specifically, but if you have a DMM you can verify pretty easily. Check for continuity between the centre pin and each of the lugs, that will give you your answer.

    1590b greengage

Looks good! And great work getting it into a 1590b.

    Milli amps Hydra delay?

You could always measure it with your DMM. The FV-1 datasheet says it draws 50mA, allow a bit more for other IC's and LED's and 80mA or so should be plenty.

    Carbon Copy Delay Not Working

The carbon copy is a pretty complicated circuit, this might be a tough one to troubleshoot. Can you post some pics of the board, front and back?

    Dark Rift Delay

Nice! I built one of these recently and it's got a really dirty sounding PT2399. Might change it, but it sounds so damn good!

SOLVED Cattle Driver - low output volume

Not that it should matter too much, but is there any reason you used poly box caps over electrolytics?

SOLVED Cattle Driver - low output volume

Take a close look to see if you've got any cold solder joints and verify all resistor values are correct. Can you post some pics of our board?
