Bringing this back from the archives. I received this little guy from Tayda (I know, I know) a couple weeks ago. It's lacking the dot of the example OPA2134PA at the top of the thread. The "BB" logo is a different font and lineweight too. Do I have a fake here?

I tried it without the star washers on the toggle switches per Robert's suggestion, but no bueno. Checked clearance between the pot legs and switches, looked for overlapping bare wires, checked for cracked traces...nothing. I did notice that the solder joints here seemed a bit dodgy, and...

Thanks for the ideas Robert and Gordo. I forgot to mention that the pedal works in the box, but only if the jacks aren't making contact with the chassis - see attached. The pots are in good working order, verified with my DMM.

I'll be watching this closely too. I have a late 50s Ampeg and an early 60s Kay to rehab, so this should be a good preview. Are you replacing all of the caps, or just the electrolytics? What about the carbon comp resistors? Some of the CC's in my amps have drifted way out of spec.

Going down the drill and plug path... Could you use a plug cutter to cleanly remove material around the snapped screw? That might contain the damage better and give you more purchase on the screw, plus it would give you a nice round hole for plugging
