    Schu-Tone Purple Reign

Incredible build as always. I was thinking about your pedals the other day because I was trying to design a 1590A pedal and I still haven't mastered the art of getting any circuit into a 1590a, I don't know how you do it haha.

    More is better?

Yep, just a steeper cut off.

will Tayda UV print on their pre-drilled enclosures?

I've been doin that for months, it works the same except you don't get to select a custom drill template.

Which pedal pcb boards have 4 knobs?

I had this exact problem the other day, I ended up getting the poison apple because I don't have anything even remotely like it and it's gotten high praise around here.

SOLVED Kliche Mini - minimal gain and gain pot gets louder with counterclockwise rotation. ANY INPUT IS APPRECIATED!

If it was already soldered the solder joints could have been damaged and if you over tighten without removing the little tab on the pot that can also ruin it (or so I heard, I wouldn't know anything about doing that of course). If the tab was removed I don't think you can really damage the pot...

SOLVED Kliche Mini - minimal gain and gain pot gets louder with counterclockwise rotation. ANY INPUT IS APPRECIATED!

Fortunately your issue sounds like it can only be the area between the buffer and the clipping diodes, since it getting louder is probably just the clean signal getting through at a normal volume. Are you sure your diodes are good? That’s the first thing I’d check if I was poking around. I...

pdf design tayda uv print gurus…

Oh yeah, I see the issue, there is no gloss layer in the PDF so they don't know what you want to be gloss there.

    Missing Build Docs / Schematics

edit: got the pcb in the mail already, I'll just use that. I was going to use a different site's build doc for the poison apple pcb, but I think theirs is slightly modified so if it's not too much trouble can I get the BOM so I can make sure I'm throwing the right parts in my cart?

Omit rate LED in moonshot tremolo?

Looking at it, I don't think it will affect anything, and in the case it does you can install it internally. Also, if you prefer rate over bypass LED, on my pendulum build I used the positive side from the rate LED pad and the negative switch pad on the PCB to make the rate LED the bypass LED so...

    Virgil Overdrive substitutions…

I think that's just there to stop radio stations from being picked up, I would think lower frequency is better to catch the AM stations too so I'd use the 200pf, I personally use a 330pf in the same set up on one of my designs because AM goes down to 540khz in the US and I didn't notice any...

    Slow Danse Macabre—Dimension-P

I'm actually not sure either, but I found where I saw the suggestion. https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=86380.msg723650#msg723650 post 10 if the link doesn't take you there.

    Slow Danse Macabre—Dimension-P

I haven't ever tried it, but I did a bit of research on the little angel when I was prototyping a chorus and I saw some suggestions that the 6v regulator lets you get a lower delay time on the pt2399 and a more lush chorus as a result.

    Slow Danse Macabre—Dimension-P

That's awesome. I wonder if the 6v regulator instead of 5v like some little angel chorus mods would help this. I love the writeups you do on your site and the sound clips are greatly appreciated!

Thermionic Deluxe: doubt about clipping diodes lighting up

Does moving your long yellow wires affect this behavior at all? In some cases they can interfere with components and inject noise into the circuit if they are too close.

    Other PCB Suppliers?

I'd say mask audio electronics is mostly known for their pedals, the black math especially, but they also have a number of DIY boards. I've never tried any of the DIY projects, but Alec seems like a cool guy from my limited interactions with him...

Tried to reverse engineer these 2 pedals.

I didn't know about those, that seems like something that could easily cause a mess down the road like the TGP 920d PIO cap and gibson bumblebee drama.

Tried to reverse engineer these 2 pedals.

I wonder if this is a regional thing, I've always seen it as the old school dark brown ones being carbon comps and blue ones being metal film resistors like you, but the beige ones I usually see listed as carbon film and the large green ones as metal oxide. The ceramic resistors to me are the...

Tried to reverse engineer these 2 pedals.

The issue is the traces, for example on the Ska pedal, there is a 4.7k resistor next to the transistor that seemingly has no connections, and they could go anywhere on the other layer so it's hard to say where it goes. As far as a common circuits goes, I don't know of any classic circuits that...

Tried to reverse engineer these 2 pedals.

Can't really do much with those photos since they are only one side. The transistor on the ska pedal might give a lot of insight as to what its based on. If you ended up getting the values for everything and both sides of the circuit board it would be pretty easy to reverse engineer it since...

    Dudes out of Pot!

I took a look at the schematic, it's for the bass on the last gain stage, similar to how a timmy is actually. A b25k pot would work but have a worse feeling taper.
