SOLVED Panspermeria No Effect Sound When Turned On

I have attached a shot of the back of the pcb in the first post. As far as the CLRs, I don't mind modifying the breakout board to remove and jump the CLR and LED there since I use the LED in the main board. Transistors are all 2N5088. Voltages for IC @ steady state, sustain at 0, vol ~50%...

SOLVED Panspermeria No Effect Sound When Turned On

Steady state: Pin 6 on IC (LM386N-4): 8.31V (assumming left to right ordering of transistors and checking collector voltages (pin 3) Q1c: 8.26V Q2c: 1.48V Q3c: 0.0v (could be wrong, couldn't get a good read on it)

SOLVED Panspermeria No Effect Sound When Turned On

I just wrapped up soldering a Panspermeria Fuzz PCB. When I plugged it in, I received very splattery inconsistent effect that didn't seem to pick up the playing of the guitar. So, I rechecked all my wiring, my soldering, etc. and that all looked fine. I then looked over the build document and...

    Fuzz Dog Mad Mule

I built this pedal about a month ago. I used to have the original pedal (Durham Electronics' Crazy Horse) but sold it a few years ago because it was sitting on my shelf too long. I got the urge to play some Neil Young Weld and Rust type songs and decided instead of purchasing it again, I'd build...

Panspermia Build Documents vs My PCB

@debrad would you mind posting a picture of your finished PCB? I just built this and am not getting the desired results. Which resistor did you end up keeping? (sorry for jumping into this thread to ask questions, I'll be happy to make a new one). I have posted a question in the troubleshooting...

    Chalumeau

Cool, thanks, I'll have to dig into the diysb thread. I've got this pcb on order and this would be a fun mod to add to it.

    Chalumeau

I can't completely see what you did with the fuzz / clean switch, but looking at the Chalumeau schematics, could you run pin 5 of the lm386 to one pin in a 3-pole on/on switch and the clean signal into the board and have the output of the on/on switch to pin 5 on the ic connection? I think...

2N270 source or substitute for Mister Fuzz please? 2N527 would be ok? others?

I know this is a really old post but just wanted to add that if you're looking for a substitution for 2N270 transistors, SFT353 transistors work well and I got them from Amplified Parts.
