    How do you ship pedals?

Bonjour! Building a pedal for a friend out of state and need to send it his way. How do you ship yours? The handful of pedals I have bought of fleabay or reverb are all pretty jenky. One was a reused amazon box with newspaper and pretty sure reused bubble wrap. Yay recycling and...

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

You don't need the lock washer if you cross thread it properly.

Third Man x JHS troika delay?

Just watched the full video. Some glaring mistakes IMO, can be modded but design fail. Internal switches for mic/instrument, reverb tails on/off and gain. Ooof.

In general or about this? 🤣🤣🤣

Third Man x JHS troika delay?

This was released today. https://thirdmanrecords.com/products/troika-delay-standard Interesting concept, could be useful for recording. I’m a Jack White fan boy and will probably get it. No 48v phantom which I assume is for cost savings. Thoughts?

    Do I need a DCA55?

Ada fruit has a 4x4 mini breadboard, add some headers and connect to those?

    Do I need a DCA55?

Santa reached out over the weekend asking for my list. One of the things I thought of was to upgrade my FNIRSI LCR-1. I know the DCA55 is more accurate and offers more than the LCR-1 but I kind of like the built in testing slots. Am I strange?

    Overloader! (6 Transistor Big Muff)

6 transistors? That is a lot of muff. Like 70s era.

This Week on the Breadboard: The Germanium Filter

Maybe with a little beer and cigarette smoke build up like mixing boards from dive bars in the 90s.

    Where to get components

Where to get components? I just sneak into Stickman's house while he is out, he has a solid offering.

    Project x Parts spreadsheet

The biggest thing for the inventory is I can sum it all and know I own like 10,000 components. Makes me feel cool.

    Project x Parts spreadsheet

Fellow spreadsheet nerd here, this is super cool! Definitely stealing a few of these ideas. Mine’s kinda similar but not nearly as fancy. I track components, values, how many I’ve got on hand, total available (on hand minus what’s already allocated) and what’s on order. I set it up that way so...

    Beginner confused with BOM

Lots of great advice, especially the build reports. One thing to add, buy spares. Nothing worse than breaking or cooking a component and having nothing to replace it. Or worse, losing one. I dropped a diode on the floor, spent 20-30 minutes searching for it, couldn’t find it. Asked the wife...

    PedalPCB Median Compressor

@jorisroos At first look, the dc jack seems suspect, looks like all three are connected.

    Reverb Preferences

I’m into sounds that have a bit of modulation and movement or stuff that’s just straight-up super cheesy. When I record, I’ll usually throw a little natural reverb on cleaner tones to make them feel more real. I mean, no one’s listening to an amp with their ear right up to the speaker (at least...

    Types of Big Muff

I agree - the Kewpie can do SO much. It gets massive to the point you wouldn't need a bass player but then cleans up into a cool overdrive/distortion and everywhere in between.
