Actually, before ordering from Digi-key I realized Banzai has the correct bulb as per the bill of material. Cheers.

    War scythe

It's actually the opposite. Innermost signal, outermost ground. The orange lead in my pictures is the signal. Cheers!

I also use lightburn and the framing option. However, in my opinion, it only gets you in the "ballpark". If you want perfect alignment and centering, you need additional work.

    PedalPCB Abyss Vibe

It's on my buying list as well, but It is pretty much back ordered everywhere! You've really mastered the art with these adhesive graphics! Amazing work!

Thanks! I used a Neje Master 2S. I think it's the cheapest yet decent engraver you can buy right now. I would say though that, as with many things, it's more about getting your technique right than the machinery. Although my engrave looks okay-ish is very far from perfect. There are a million...

It looks awesome! Can you tell us more about how you did the enclosure? Is that a SV20H head in the background?

They are davies imitation knobs from tayda: https://www.taydaelectronics.com/hardware/knobs/davies-1400%20clone-black-knob.html They are the same used on the original shallow water. I'm doing a like for like clone, with stamped lettering.

    Gamma radiometer (Lowtide)

It is exactly as they say. I ordered there because they had some components I couldn’t find elsewhere. When I submitted the order everything was showing as in stock. I then received a mail saying some potentiometers were back ordered and that they would have been shipped later on free of charge...

    Gamma radiometer (Lowtide)

It is always good to shop for multiple pedals at the same time. Of course, getting together the BOMs for 9 pedals will be quite a time-consuming exercise. Also, make sure you check it multiple times as in every order I do I always discover some wrong components. When it comes to the low tide...

    Gamma radiometer (Lowtide)

The blue box capacitors are Kemet and have been purchased from Mouser. Overall the components have been sourced from Tayda, Mouser, Banzai music, a couple of eBay sellers, and believe it or not, a local electronics shop. I'm based in Europe however, so your mileage may vary depending on your...

The enclosure has been drilled: Now a quick fitment test to make sure everything goes together as supposed:

    Gamma radiometer (Lowtide)

I really wanted to try building this circuit as I love the original FC shallow water, however this soon revealed to be more of supply chain than electronic exercise. I had to search the whole internet to find the components and still ended up with a dual gang B1M pot instead of A1M, but this...

@HamishR : amazing work! What software do you use for these designs? Thanks!

    Dumbloid special on stripboard

To be fair, even the original dumbloid is a wiring mess on its own.

    Dumbloid special on stripboard

Thanks! You are right, I've actually moved the wires away from the input jack after reading your suggestion!

    Dumbloid special on stripboard

Thanks for the suggestions! Really helpful! Yes, I could have used a smaller cap, but a) I was keen on using only Panasonic capacitors (I'm obsessed with consistency :D), and b) didn't want to wait multiple weeks for just one missing cap. I've actually sanded the edges of the veroboard and even...

[SOLVED] This one got me (Bellum Fuzz MKII)

Thanks for the suggestions! Eventually, I managed to get it to work. It seems the legs of one transistor were slightly oxidized and not making proper contact in the sockets. I've scraped them with an x-acto blade and everything started working correctly. I discovered the problem with a component...

    My electrovibe build

I used some solid core wire. It’s a little bit annoying because you have to solder the leads on the main pcb then position everything in the drilled enclosure to be used as a template and then solder the leads on the breakout board. The end results is very clean and solid though That’s a very...
