All I know is that part number PCB001 is the Thermionic Distortion. Not sure if that's actually the first though, of that's when the numbering started.

I just reminded myself how valuable my 24AWG stranded wire is. Not as delicate as 26AWG, and not as prone to stray strands like the 22AWG. Despite the extra time it takes, I think I'm good with my current method. But I may want to try them out, who knows.

One vendor I can find that has them in stock, and more expensive than I was expecting. Sounds like that's the part I need.

Dumb question, maybe, but how are you applying these graphics?

So I am looking at my Viceroy board and I am seeing that the spots for the PF5102 JFETs are tied to identical pads to place SMD components. But so far my internet searching suggests there's no SMD version of the PF5102. Is this true? And if so, what should be going there? I really want to try...

FWIW, I built my Violet #4 RH clone on vero board and it sounds very Gilmour-esque. I used either 2058s or 2059s, I can't remember. But here's a gut shot.

So here's an update. This btw is for another Parentheses Fuzz board that still isn't working yet. I found like 4 remaining PF5102s from earlier, and I put them in the TC1. I also put in a J201 for kicks. Results are below. I'm open for getting more testing equipment or making some sort of test...

It was a Chinese eBay seller so yeah, it's fake. I just ordered some from Smallbear to remedy the situation.

I just attempted to test one of a number of PF5102s that I ordered. Is there any way this makes sense? Because I thought it was supposed to be a JFET.

Can anyone point me towards an idiot's guide to differences between capacitor types? All I ever look at is price and tolerance.

Why is this shudder-inducing? I don't know what the benefits of an electrolytic are beyond the fact that they're super cheap.

OK, so I measured some that I got from Amazon and I wasn't getting a stable reading. I figured that I was doing something stupid but apparently it could also be the LDRs. Gives me a new thing to try again this weekend.
