Whenever I do stripboard builds I always build two. The second copy has the same problem so I can rule out bad components/bad solder joints. I wired up the second one using a bunch of alligator clips just to check. Obviously it's going to be worse and noisier than the actually wired up copy...

I just finished a Benson stripboard build, but I have this weird fizz under the sound that I can't figure out. I have swapped all of the transistors out and have tried different bias voltage for each tranistir but the fizz is still there. Any ideas what is causing this and how I can fix it?

Tayda has the option to print on the "bottom" or "enclosure lid" Which option should I choose to print on this part? I'm guessing enclosure lid but I just want to confirm.

I know hifi guys will put a fast discharging cap in parallel with a bigger cap to prevent smearing of high frequencies but that's outside the range of most instruments. Noble strikes me as coming from the hifi world so perhaps it's a carry over.

What is the minimum voltage rating for C13 and C14? I'm looking a Panasonic caps that only go up to 10V also 2mm or 2.5mm lead spacing?

Looks like the output cap is 2.2uF to me. I plan to play around with C8 and try everything from 4n7 to 10n and see what sounds best. I'm guessing 6n8 will start rolling off at ~60Hz which should be great for upright

Do you think this power supply would work in some of rob Robinettes micro amps. I think they make a few watts. I know you're power amp pedal is similar to a firefly amp which I believe is pretty similar to rob's stuff
