Are there any suggestions for OC139 replacement on the Carmine Overdrive build? Would any "Rangemaster" NPN transistor from SmallBear be adequate? I see they have an OC140. I appreciate the help and advice.

Sounds like a wrong component value or solder joint perhaps. I'm pretty new to this as well, and can still make those mistakes. Check all components to the build documents after you try reflowing the board. If you can post a pick of your board I can compare it mine and see if anything sticks out.

Solved, mislabeled part in bin, mistook 47r for 47k. I'm humble, and no pro at this? honest mistake. For anyone this might happen to. I will be more careful putting away my fulfilliments from now on.

I am getting very low volume and thin tone. Also my tone knob seems to attenuate my volume to mute when turned clockwise. I reflowed the board, and also used an audio probe to find that my signal is normal up till side 2 and then low and thin on side 1 of C5 . I replaced C5 but that did not fix...

Solid man, that extra control definitely goes a long way with some amps! For this I just used 1N34a from Tayda, tested a few and this set sounded the nicest to my ears. I used the old school rubber stampers my daughter plays with for the graphics.

Fun build, big sound, used 2 single pots for gain instead of one double, works great with gain amps with this feature!
