    SOLVED. Triangulum bass/volume issues

Ha! So it was! I knew I was setting myself up!

    Bootleg OD

Oh...I was referring to the inputs and outputs...it looks like tiny screws instead of solder?

Some tidy looking work for sure! What’s the story with the in and out connections on the foot switch?

M800 PAL 800 JCM Emulator run at 18V?

Looks like the J201’s will run fine. I’m guessing that as long as your electrolytic is rated for over 25v you would be good. But I wouldn’t trust my judgement and I’m curious to hear from someone who knows what they’re talking about.

    SOLVED. Triangulum bass/volume issues

There’s a place called Sonic Craft that carries PRP. Believe they’re in Texas. They also have the Takman resistors which are also very bourgeois but don’t look as cool. WIMA caps are definitely at Mouser The Wurth Electronik capacitors are sold at Mouser I think? Or is it Digi-Key?

    SOLVED. Triangulum bass/volume issues

You must’ve been tired...those PRP’s have the resistance in plain English:D I see you bend the leads to show that...I like to do the same. I’m sure for having a laugh along with you I’m now cursed to repeat the mistake.

    Build Notes, Circuit History, Documentation

Yeah...Robert I’m down the road apiece and I thought about asking if you’d like some help when you mentioned you were having a rough spell. I figured that I don’t probably know enough to be of real service and then my employer called me back to work, which is a blessing. However, If I can ever...

    Can i 'relocate' pots?

When you buy the 3n3’s make sure they will fit in their place in the board. The box caps that I have are too fat to fit in between other components.

Mach 1 and Mach number 2

Alright...I opened up the “ghetto” Mach 1 and played it for awhile to acclimate myself to the tone. Listening closely to the top end response because that’s where I was hearing the difference in my initial comparison. Thinking this is not the best way to test this but I’m not really out to...

I will try that tonight as I was wondering the same thing.

Mach 1 and Mach number 2

Yeah..to be honest the light isn’t yet functioning on that one. Second build in a row where the LED needed help. I like that better than my earlier builds where the LED came on but no sound. I know the difference between the anode and cathode so I’m not sure what I’m mucking up there?

Mach 1 and Mach number 2

As an experiment I’ve built two of these...the first was with cheap Amazon.com resistors and capacitors; the second with Takman audio resistors and Nichicon Fine Gold audio capacitors. Also acquired the Burr Brown for the uptown build and used Neotech copper hookup wire. I was hoping that I...
