What’s the consensus on the TC-1’s ability to assess leakage? I seen people say that you need a DCA75 to do that job reliably.

Your switch wiring is wrong. The jumper is in the wrong place from the lower row of pins on the switch. It should go from the lower left to the lower right. Try that first and then see if there are any other issues. I would also try and reflow some of those joints.

If you want to find out why it doesn’t work then you need to audio probe the circuit to see where signal doesn’t pass. Looking at the board a few traces between components look to be damaged so it’s not as simple as just reflowing components. The board has been over heated. 99% of builds that...

Your pin 4 has 8.3v and it should be 0v as it’s GND. Also you have 0.12v on pin 6 which should be your positive supply. Your wiring to your power jack is reverse. Swap these and test again. This should fix it if all is well.

This looks awesome! Is the preamp of a certain Mr JM? I’ve always wanted to build that preamp but could never find a schematic (not that I have any clue about tube based layouts) or PCB. I’d be super interested to hear how it sounds!

I’d say having C8 in place will do no harm and won’t change the sound a huge amount. It will most likely filter out radio frequencies. For C3 I’d socket it and try it with and without and see what sounds best to your ears.

I’d assume this was more of a buffered bypass issue. The charge pump shouldn’t effect the bypass as the first opamp isn’t supplied by the charge pump. Charge pump issues tend to be whine related in this circuit. You could audio probe the bypass circuitry when the pedal is bypassed to see where...
