The Bluesbreaker circuit isn't high gain, but I mean, two in series is quite a bit of gain, I think the squeal is to be expected. Now did you try a buffered pedal (any Boss pedal) in front of it? Might cure the squeal

With every pot maxed, the squeal is normal. I’ve had it with all my KOT builds. Question is: will you ever use this setting? :)

You sure about those pots not shorting out? Otherwise yeah, the soldering doesn't look quite right, especially the FV1, so you might wanna reflow the chip and some resistors/caps here and there. Good luck!

Don't have the schematics with me, but I'll try to remember... There should be an opamp buffer after the FV1 output that goes more or less directly to the repeat pot. I just put the Electra circuit between the buffer and the pot. Can't remember why I chose the Lovepedal JTM values, probably...

Nope, it doesnt oscillate with only one head selected, so the usual momentary shorting the feedback pot will have little effect in those positions

I think the best combo is high gain into low gain. And again, high gain isn't really high gain on the KOT, just a bit more gain. But you still have a nice range of clean and low gain sounds, especially if you mount the clipping switch (OD, Boost, Dist) on the outside. Making those dipswitches...

Madbean pcbs are absolutely perfect for this, you can definitely trust his work, and it's a BB format. He also has a DM2 clone with twice the delay time (so 550ms) and modulation. It's a really really great delay, I made one a few years ago, my favorite analog delay. DM2/Aqua Puss sound great...

Is that for real? More than $2 for one diode? Buy some BA282 or BA283, they measure the same, and are very close to the MA856 if I remember correctly.

Hey Yes, I think a 50k pot would work better than 25k. I'm not sure that's how Demedash implemented it though, it seems to be cutting lows, not cutting highs, on some demos I've seen. Also the other ICs are probably for switching, not audio. His pedal has evolved a lot, but to my ears it...

Hi Chuck! I don't think I understand how you used the 1k resistor. You're just connecting/disconnecting lug 2 of the pots with the stereo jack right? Then another lug is ground, and the other 3.3v?

Hey Chuck, just wondering, all my KOT clones have a slight pop too, with nothing before or after them, plugged straight into the amp and the guitar. I wonder if using a smaller value pulldown resistor at the output would help. I usually put 100k there, not 1M. Just wondering. :)
