    TB-92 Silicon Treble Booster

At some point I just started adding random transistors to my Tayda and Mouser carts because I thought they sounded cool :D Initially I was looking specifically for lower gain transistors though, as well as models which are available in different hFE ranges, like BC549A/B/C. My go-to rock tone...

    TB-92 Silicon Treble Booster

Thanks! Do it, the circuit is easy to breadboard and modify. Try out different resistors, capacitors and transistors and see how they change the tone and feel of the circuit. The input capacitor C1 is part of an RC filter. Its value in conjunction with the impedance as set by the biasing network...

    TB-92 Silicon Treble Booster

I just wanted to breadboard a Brian May treble booster. Now here I am over half a year later with my own treble booster design while still not having breadboarded a Brian May booster. Oh well. At its heart this is still just a Rangemaster. There's an aggressive bass cut followed by a single...

EU source for 125B and 1590B sized foldable cardboard boxes

Still a bit wide at 100 mm (~4"), ideally I'd like to get it down to 70-80 mm (~3") width to get a snug fit, but thanks for the suggestion!

EU source for 125B and 1590B sized foldable cardboard boxes

I know about those standard 6x3x3" boxes you guys in the US got, but those are pretty much not available in Europe. Any similar suggestions other than going completely custom? These aren't meant to be shipping boxes but for giving customers a box to go along with their pedal. I got some...

DEMO Breadboard builds [Tone Reaper //// Boss HM-2, MT-2 + mods /// JCM800 Pedal /// EAE Model feT]

Pro level breadboarding. I like the sounds you're getting, with and without mods. I've had basically the opposite idea about the tone stack - take only the distortion stages of the Metal Zone and put the Marshall Valvestate or Ampeg VH-140C tone stack after it. Could make for a decent 90s death...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

You got a good eye, my guy. That's exactly right! 😎

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Silicon treble booster with some tonal options: Getting a hang of this I think. Is there an easy way to round off 45° angles in traces other than doing it all manually with arcs? Is this easier in KiCad?

    EOL parts thread

These are often just changes to the manufacturing process, datasheet or packaging, not necessarily EOL. Gotta dive into the actual info sheet by the manufacturer to determine whether this concerns us or not.

    Musikding Rat Clone Compensation Capacitor

Disagree. Pins 1 and 8 on an OP07 serve a different purpose compared to the LM308 and I don't see how a capacitor here should have any effect on tone or otherwise. These pins tap into the input bias network of the OP07 and are used to correct for offset voltages. They would need to be connected...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

I'll see how it works out. Will do some final adjustments until mid next week and then place an order. This was maybe the 3rd or 4th major revision after having to start over a couple of times because of questionable layout decisions and not really knowing what I was doing in the beginning :D I...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Right click on a trace, select "Teardrops..." and activate the T-junction setting. Probably not. But I've spent too much time on this already, so no more shuffling around components to optimize traces. It is what it is :D

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Dual rectifier inspired JFET preamp pedal with adjustable front end boost and buffered bypass. A little lopsided I guess. Wasn't sure I was going to be able to fit this into a 1590BB2, so I opted to go with a landscape 1590XX. This is my first big project after only doing small adapter boards so...

    Even more new Tayda colors!

I prefer the sand textured enclosures and would love to have more color options, I wouldn't want them to replace the regular matte finish though.

Mouser and Digikey search game changer?

That does make sense to me though unless I'm misunderstanding the issue. Can't filter for something that hasn't been entered into the database. The issue is more that data isn't always entered correctly or at all on Mouser's end, even if a spec appears in the manufacturer's datasheet.

Valhalla no bypass on amplifier output

    Okay. Yes, that's by design.

Valhalla no bypass on amplifier output

I think I might have misread. Just to clarify, you do have bypass signal on the regular output but no bypass signal on the power amp output? Or the other way around?
