I figured it out! Then played for an hour because holy shit this thing is amazing, and am now checking back in. The 201 at the top was indeed backwards. I figured it out by soldering cut transistor legs to my DMM, and probing the feet on the smd, vs the legs soldered to the through holes...

Hello-looks like I have to add to the list of low tide troubleshooting posts. Bypass works fine, no signal when on. LED works. Are my SMDs oriented correctly? I seem to get tunnel vision at this stage of builds apparently. Anyone see anything that jumps out?

Quick question please-low tide calls for 3 BAT48 diodes-I ordered from Tayda, but must have searched for DO-35 instead. I got schottsky DB3 DO-35 diodes. Will they work? I also have some IN5817s. Would that be better? Do I need to order BAT48’s? Thanks in advance.

I ordered from both tayda and stomp box parts on the same day. (In the US). Both orders arrived 4 days later. We live like kings.

Finished the Plaid after playing it partially boxed for a week or so. Great pedal-sounds exactly like it should, gets what its going after. Not a huge PJ fan, but it does a lot more than that. The gain stages into each other are fun to play with. Went on the nose with the box.

So….it happened. I soldered pots on in wrong direction, cussed for 10 minutes straight, then sat down to fix the problem. Cussed for 10 more minutes when I saw that I lifted two pads de-soldering. So jumper wires? On the back of the PCB it looks like square pad goes to next pots rightmost post...

Any issue with running two 47r resistors in series in place of a 100r resistor? Is over or under original value better?
