Rackumusik - The Firebird is not actually mine. That is an image from the internet I used as an example of an HO Firebird in verdoro green metallic. I just used it as the inspiration for the hot rod aspect of the theme for the graphics on the Gator Drive. My mom had a 67 Firebird in this color...

MattG - yeah I think it is a great versatile drive. The only amp I used is a 68 Vibrolux Reverb. Really clean. It was on 2...lol. I didn't give an example of this, but this circuit can really slam an amp if you want. The strat is a 2008 stock American Standard. Just tuned standard. Open E.

    The Gatordrive

All right I made some sound clips of various settings and various guitars for those who are not already familiar. Some of them aren't very good LOL. Sometimes my fingers just don't do what my brain tells them to do. The older I get the worse it gets. Please ignore my fumble fingers and focus on...

Tempests are absolutely badass! A friend of my dad's had a little white Tempest with a 215 in it and a 2 speed Powerglide. That little sucker was quick as s***. That sounds like an amazing car show they don't get that big around here but boy they used to. I try and catch everyone I can around here.

Feral Feline <--------This guy gets it! I am a big Jerry Reed fan! When I think gators, I don't think about Florida, I think about Louisiana! Cajun Country! I like to tie in a hotrod theme if I can, as well as, I just like a good gimmick. It is hard to tell from the pics, but the racing...

    The Gatordrive

Thank you you MattG! I of course didn't think about changing it to make lit Gator eyes until after the circuit boards were made LOL. But then I just couldn't let it go. I did a mock-up with just an image and the lights and man it looked cool so I just figured out how to rearrange clr's and LEDs...

    The Gatordrive

Yeah it's not scooped. It's mid-forward, and then has the mid as a cut for anyone that wants to reduce the mids for a particular guitar they are using or particular sound for the type of music they're playing.

    The Gatordrive

Well honestly it started out trying to find a drive that I liked for Rockabilly with a Gretsch. Also, I didn't like many drives with the Strat either. So clarity and mid forward was important. Then I started playing with the second stage of the opamp. I made the Stratodrive, then the...

Not sure how many people saw this as I didn't actually post it as a build report I did it in the Gator Drive thread and Chuck's Boneyard. Pedalbuilder stated that I should do a proper build thread here. This started as a modified Timmy two years ago. I was able to modify it to join a contest as...

The Ocelot: Modified Univox Super Fuzz

It looks awesome! I really, really like the original univox superfuzz. The octave adjustment is an excellent addition! I'm trying to remember the transistors I used Maybe SC945? I will have to get back and look. My mod to the tone was using a dpdt on-on-on switch wired like a pickup selector...

Lol. The spinner cozy I had my neighbor sew for me. Keeps the carbon fiber spinner from getting chewed up during transport. Works great. I use cut pool noodles to protect and hold straight the elevator during transport.

Lol. We have a little shitzu and a cavapoo that would easily be pilot sized. Just need the goggles!

This Week on the Breadboard: Gator's OD - cb mod

Thank you. Yes it is a little cheezy, but it works. If these sell (4 orders already) Wouldn't hurt to implement the changes to the board layout. They are bicolor red green leds with a common anode. Greens are parallel to a large 82K resistor and reds are parallel to a small 680R resistor. This...

This Week on the Breadboard: Gator's OD - cb mod

Oops. Yeah. Forgot where I was at apparently...lol. You gotta post gut shots on this forum! Lots if room on this board. Easy to solder. He did a really great job on the layout as the input and output wires are part of the board it lets me utilize my connectors the way I like. There is a...

This Week on the Breadboard: Gator's OD - cb mod

And so without further procrastination lol, ladies and gentlemen I give you ...Gator's Gatordrive! I did some "off board wiring" for an idea I had after I already hashed out board design with the kind and talented Szukalski. Dual color, dual leds for a cool look. Normal mode pedal on: Then...

Big Purdy flies again! Put her all back together I took her to the field and flew her. Flies just like she always did! Got a few small places to clean up on the covering but she's back!

Damn Cooder, that looks awesome! I like your style. Great font! Well this is as far as I have made it...lol Sad, I know. that is 1967-68 GM Verdoro Green. Used on a lot of pontiac GTOs and Firebirds. I have the graphics done. Need to get it on the box and get it done.

    Opinions wanted: Good RockBilly overdrive

I'm glad you mentioned this, and I should start a new thread to talk about it, but I do not have a guitar with P90 pickups or Franz single coil pickups. However I have been experimenting with removing the adjustable pole pieces from paf humbuckers to get a P90 sound, with a much less 60 cycle...

    Opinions wanted: Good RockBilly overdrive

I feel like a lot of times that something sounds good with a strat it sounds good with my Gretsch as well. There are some overdrives that I just absolutely do not like the way they work at all with a strat or a Gretsch. And I guess when I say the word Gretsch, at least for me, I mean filter Tron...

Nice. Looks great! Looks like it is the version with a 386 for the last stage. I have been pre-occupied with family life and putting my best plane back together. I need to get back to my version of the project. Looks great man! Something is missing though...Demo!
