If you look at the schematic, the Cornish Buffer is integrated into the circuit. There's really no point in skipping the buffer. The buffer is used as part of the OC-1. First, build yourself some kind of audio probe. Just google it. It will make tracing the signal way easier.

Are your passthrough jacks isolated?

The pcb is spaced for either a polarized electrolytic or a film capacitor. I would use a film capacitor (which is bipolar).

The tone control is a Big Muff tone control. You could use the Duncan Tone stack calculator and figure out a mod.

I used a 2.2M and a 511M in series.

I, accidentally, put a 820R instead of an 820K in R16. Totally, botched the bias. Replaced it and played it. The bass sounded a little muddy, at first. Changed the settings and it sounds really, really good. It doesn't hiss, either. I'm impressed.

Ditto what Gordo said. Kind of a pain in a butt to debug. Glad that mine just fired up. Sounds great.

This circuit doesn't have a clean signal blend. The Kliche (Klon) does. Are you talking about true bypass?

Just fired it up on the test rig and it works. Will do the artwork, tomorrow and finish it up. Got a lot of wires to trim. Guess I found a way to make this an smd project.

It will change the gain structure. Read this article to better understand the gain structure. Fetzer valve Play with the calculator at the end of the article and see how it affects the voltage gain when you change the voltage.

Got mine populated except for the pots and the switch. Will do that, today, and fire it up. I'll let you know how it goes.
