My first Vero Amptweaker Tight Metal in a 1590b

Nicely done. I love that pedal. I'd like to build a tight rock, next.

    VFE Pinball

    I really like mine.

I might nick that one. Great pedal, still have to do the artwork.

Calling all "Bones" (Frost mid mod)

I'm in the middle of buillding a Frost Drive with all the "Bones" mods except the clipper mod. I using a C10K for the locut and C100K dual-ganged for the mids. I'm using a 6k8 for R4 and R5. I'm using a 6n8 for c3 and 18n for c4.

Finally another pedal in the works, a "special" one.

My sentiments, exactly. I'm a weak man and I know it...

    Lenora

I don't love the Lenora (still playing with it). But, I really like the Abider.

    Substitute for...you guessed it, NKT275

Those are too high of gain (depending on taste) for a traditional fuzz face. Try a couple of these. asx12d If those don't work for you, hit me up for a couple of Russian transistors. Put the lower hfe in Q1.

    Echoflanger

If you get the clock calibrated correctly (which doesn't require a scope - just a frequency counter), biasing the bbd(s) shouldn't be too bad. All the voltages are supplied so you should be in the ballpark before biasing.

Pretty easy with a scope. It's way easier than a dirtbag deluxe.

    Echoflanger

Sometimes when I'm tired I think that my handwriting is all that. Oh well. It more than makes up for with the sound. It's an Lectric-fx Dandy Horse. I calibrated it with an oscilloscope and couldn't be happier with the sound. For some reason, every one that plays it can't help but play a...

    Super heterodyne receiver issue

    That would do it.

    Substitute for...you guessed it, NKT275

Those are diodes. I just built a sunlion (sunface + Beano). I used a reissue NKT 275 for Q1 and an ASX12D for Q2 and it sounds awesome. HFE were 80 and 117, respectively.

Photoshop drill template file to help with making graphics!

I made some templates for the 3, 4, 5, and 6 knob enclosures. I took juansolo's templates and modified them for the pedalpcb boards. If there's any interest, I could post them somewhere. They are psd files and I'm not a photoshop expert. Just good enough to modify a template.

Using TC-1 tester to measure ge transistors -question

Guess I lied. Iceo is the current leakage at the emitter. Anything under 100 is good. You're hfe.isn't super high but should high enough for a muff. It would work well for Q2 in fuzz face. Ube is the dx voltage between the base and emitter. Usually, .65 in silicon and between .15 and .3...

Using TC-1 tester to measure ge transistors -question

Leakage isn't shown in those 4 measurements. If your meter doesn't take leakage into account then your hfe will be off. Note: Iceo shows leakage. I didn't read the post carefully. See my correction, later.

    Tayda UV Enclosure Printing Service

Some guys on the madbean forum ordered some enclosures with the UV printing. Curious to see how it turns out.

    J201 Measurements

They look off. The runoffgroove article on the Fetzer valve is an interesting read. Right at the end they show some measurements of various jfets (incl the J201). Here's the Link.

    Abider C26 capacitor value

I squished a 470nf film cap in mine. (mainly because I don't have 470nf electrolytic). These WIMA caps fit, nicely: WIMA 470nf cap A little pricey. I just squished a 5mm lead spacing cap in, though.
