    Dead End FX Mangel Wurzel

Oh man. Demo's are another project entirely. I'll try to get it set up soon

    Enclosure Pro

This is cool! Is there a function for different knobs? For example I like to use big 1" diameter MXR knobs on some of my pedals, and I have to space out the holes for the pots to fit the big knobs. Maybe there could be an overlay for the pot holes that would show a tracing of the knob as well...

Got the no new builds blues.... (Whoops.. wrong area to post)

Yeah my sales have dropped as well. I've lowered prices on almost all of them. I'm sure more will sell over xmas time. I have a tayda cart waiting to go but I'm trying to stagger my orders bc I know I'll forget something somewhere else. I get my enclosures from stompboxparts though

    Dead End FX Mangel Wurzel

It says Rotary Chorus and as we all know it's hard to find a DIY rotary pedal so I was like The build doc said it needs a 1590bbs enclosure but after staring at the pics for a while I realized it didn't. Here's the build doc On page 6 you can see the photo of the builder holding the...

    SOLVED Taqueria Overdrive weak signal

I would definitely audio probe this one. Watch a vid on how to make one. Basically you use another audio jack that connects to the input of your guitar amp and on the other end is a wire with a bare lead on the end that you insert into the circuit along the audio path starting from the input of...

Byzantium Flanger - How To Correctly Attach The Stomp Switch (A Build Guide Would Have Helped Immensely)

If you can send the pedal to me here in CT, I will complete it and send it back to you. No charge

What do I need to know before I order my first transistors?

I placed an order monday night and it was dropped off to USPS today (thurs). They are a two hour drive from me. Infuriating

    Troglodyte Reverb

I use the cheap black enclosed jacks and place them so they fit just below the pots and against one of the screw bosses of the enclosure. This keeps them nice and snug when you go to tighten them up. The holes for them don't have to be exactly perfectly round as the washer will cover small...

Does this PCB look ready to receive power?

With the pots turned around like that they will behave in the opposite of normal - ie turning clockwise will reduce the effect. They are meant to all be positioned like the center top one. You should try and use some desoldering wick and remove them, but go slowly and carefully. It's ok if it...

How do you get your handwriting to come out so nice! Paint pens are hard to use with how easily they slide across the surface

    PedalPCB 5-Loop True Bypass Switcher

Can I get a build doc for that?

What do I need to know before I order my first transistors?

I like small bear for weird chips that are hard to find elsewhere. But they take forever to ship. They are maybe 100 miles from me and if I place an order with them and with Tayda on the same day in the same hour the Tayda order will get here first. From literally the other side of the planet.

Byzantium Flanger - How To Correctly Attach The Stomp Switch (A Build Guide Would Have Helped Immensely)

I think you are asking what type of rigid pin headers people use to attach the switch daughter board to the main board? The relationship of the switch to the bottom board in terms of height cannot be standardized - this is because there are different types of pin headers which have differing...

Byzantium Flanger - How To Correctly Attach The Stomp Switch (A Build Guide Would Have Helped Immensely)

Here's mine Pin headers I used (they are low profile which is why my bottom board looks weird, though in the end mounting the components to the other side of the board was unnecessary) Single ground wire Make sure to get the low profile elec caps Also small bear has some as well

On the Arachnid PCB, do the 914's have to be 914's?

That's true. In all it's turning out to be a bit more than I wanted to deal with. I'll follow thru with a different idea

King of Tone - which readily available diodes?

In my last build I used 4148's and 1s1588's. If I didn't have the 1588's on hand I would just use 4148's for everything. I'm not partial to the hard clipping part of the circuit - the soft clipping sounds much better to me. But so does the boost when it's overdriven when set up with the high...

On the Arachnid PCB, do the 914's have to be 914's?

Thank you for your replies. What if I used VREF (4.5v) as a source for the 1p8t switch instead of the L78L33? Also, if I used a combination of 914's and LED's such that the pin 6 trace, for example, has one LED and one 914, would that cause voltage to pass thru the 914 only? Does the LED with...

On the Arachnid PCB, do the 914's have to be 914's?

Can I use, for example, red LED's instead? Asking for a friend
