    Madbean Archibald

Try it with a 12AU7. You might like the gain range better with it. I tried a 12AX7 at first and found it to be too harsh. An AU7 gives you plenty of gain without the harshness. :D

Help me pick out some tubes

Good reading on the tube differences. In my case, it turned out that a 12AX7 wasn't the best choice for my BK Butler clone. They have the highest gain, which makes total sense. A 12AT7 type tube still felt a bit too high. 12AU7 was the magic one. A lower gain tube made all the difference in this...

Fresh from the Skunk Works - Above Top Secret - the TSV808 Vemuram

After reading about this wonderful build, I'm tempted to build one of these. But...ugg! Trying really hard to resist. Feel like a crack addict. "Come-on man! Just one more build! I promise it'll be the last one!" :P

    Caesar Salad Chorus

Just set the trim/bias by ear. Turn the Depth all the way up and everything else at noon. Adjust the bias to the point where you get the maximum effect with as little distortion as possible. That's it. :D

TL072 substitute? (They're expensive now outside the USA)

StompBoxParts has the TL072IP for $.65. Granted, minimum purchase of 5 but that’s slight. They also have the CP version that’s a tad cheaper. https://stompboxparts.com/semiconductors/tl072ip-dual-op-amp-ic/

Help me pick out some tubes

Out of all the tubes I’ve tried (Sovtek, JJ, and EHX), I’ve been quite pleased with the JJ tubes. I use a JJ ECC83 (12AX7) in one of my tube pedals and recently installed an JJ ECC82 (12AU7) in a Butler clone.

    Hot Glue Gun Recs?

Why is it whenever I see someone using a glue gun I get the urge to run up to them and say “What are you doing!!!” 🤪

    Low tide *( Geri-rig-shit-show)*

Interesting result as well as an entertaining story. Uhh…might need something to chill ya out though. Xanax, vodka, weed, whatever will do the job. 🤪

    Aion Andromeda Deluxe

Run this into a good Blues Breaker based pedal and you’ll get a Protein pedal on steroids. 😁

    A bunch of builds

Good Lord, that's a lot of builds! Then again, I've had my fair share of pedal builds that I finished in a short amount of time. :P

    Help finding/subbing a few components (BA282, LM13600, C150K pot)

I bought some BA282's from Pedal Hacker some time ago for a batch of Paragon's: https://www.pedalhackerelectronics.com/BA282-KOT-Silicon-Clipping-Diode-Vishay-MA856-sub-p/ba282-vish.htm You can use BAS33's in place of the BA282's. I think they might be easier to find...and cheaper. Stomp Box...

Hmm...I dunno. Lemme try it and see. :D

XS Drive & Cannon Fodder MKII

Shit...you're right. :P Could drill another center hole anyways and plug the other two. Might be an interesting thing to explore at the hardware store.

XS Drive & Cannon Fodder MKII

Nah. Couldn't find the actual template...so I just used the Hydra Delay for the switches and my trusty 125B template overlay for it. I did screw up and punched a single switch instead of the dual ones for the Fodder though. :p Yeah, I figured it was a feedback loop after I looked at the docs...

    Lowballer

This is a fun pedal for sure. I've built a few filter pedals and even have a couple that I purchased. This one is probably one of the best for bass. Simple and easy to dial in with plenty of tones to ream out of it.

Germanium II, Semi-Sweet, and Nugget Fuzz: All the Cornish's

Talk about Cornish pedals seems to come up now and then around various guitar-related forums. A few of them have been on my wish list, including the ones at AionFX. Ended up getting the PedalPCB options because...well...I like the PCB's better and there's an extra option that AionFX doesn't...

XS Drive & Cannon Fodder MKII

Out of the latest batch of stuff I built comes the XS Drive and Cannon Fodder MKII, two pedals that I probably wouldn't have normally built if I wasn't so damn curious about them. The XS Drive was pretty straight-forward to put together...although I had to use a different pedal template to get...
