    Scabbard inductor value

Perhaps he was banking on the pF capacitance of the guitar cable for forn a LRC filter? But may app-math doesn't align with that theory either. Or maybe he found some high freq oscilations in his builds/layouts. Who knows? But I bet if someone took the time to ask, he'd be willing to share. I...

    Voltage Supply Question

~4.5v at pin 1 with a load of some sort. If your circuit ends at pin 1, I'm not sure how the loading of your DMM would construe the measurement.

    Scabbard inductor value

Well, it forms a 19.4 Ghz LPF. A 6u8 would be 23.4Ghz, so yeah, should work. Maybe even get better wifi signal. Or just use a jumper, or a ∅R

    Desoldering Station that actually works???

I have one. paid less than half that on Ali for it 3-4 years ago. Same as @gtfields13, had some sealing issues. I just applied vacuum grease to the oring and saw improvement. It works okay. Not gonna beat out a PACE station, but for $17, it's okay. It takes a solid 10 minutes to heat up, has no...

Stereo channel isolation of fv-1? Isolated instructions for L and R channels?

Pondering some ideas and can't find the answer to th3 following curiosities. 1)does/can the FV1 operate in isolated dual mono? I.e., can a signal flow from LIN -> LOUT -> RIN ->ROUT without creating a feedback loop internal to the FV1? 1b) if so, what's the best practice to accomplish this...

Son Of a Ben no signal

We should get a group together and make a troubleshooting venn diagram. It would probably solve 60% or threads before they start.

TUTORIAL All About Diodes - A Gathering of Various Resources Out There

You can plot a diode with an oscope, but it's not ideal. You need a small ac source and a CLR. Plot voltage to one axis and current to the other. But again, not ideal or all that accurate. Check out the octopus curve tracer project. Again, not the best tool for the job but cheap and easy. Where...

Son Of a Ben no signal

Tayda/SBP/LMS all sale pot dust covers. They're 5-10 cents and a worthy investment. You only need them on the pots that mount over the board, unless you have a tight build where a jack could short to a pot.

Why Did I Buy This Vol. 2

Pretty quiet, higher slew jfet input singles. A slightly better 071 if you will. Probably got them on a deal as they're obsoleted. An improved version of the LG155/156. Good for a buffah or onboard preamp but you could clip them too.

The West W*ñg could match the east one for all I care at this point. But Vance wouldn't be any better/less bad. Just a sharper dull tool.

Son Of a Ben no signal

First, thank you for not off board wiring everything. Secondly, painters tape ain't gonna cut it. Lastly, make sure the dual pot isn't contacting the pot above it.

Lock washer performance worse than no washer at all?

I don't think toothed washers are optimal for this. They really need soft surfaces, like copper bus bars, and I don't think the excell under vibration. Honestly, I think the limited thread count on most jacks is the weak link. Both the nys and klbm don't have a great flush face to lock into/onto...

Aionfx Halo Deluxe very low sound

A dim LED would indicate a likely short of power to ground or a weak PSU. Check all your power wires for bridges and stray strands as well as the board itself.

    Opa2604 substitute.

Pop in what duals you have and audition them If it sounds good, it is good. If it oscillates, motorboats or sounds like someone replaced a catalytic converter with a barn cat, try something else. It's likely the reason that opamp was first chosen is on the top of the datasheet. "Low Noise"...

    Opa2604 substitute.

Just use whatever dual jfet you have on hand. 275 should work fine. I think a R2R like a 2272 would even work as I don't think there's any opamp clipping, looking at the schem for 15 seconds.
