I've had decent luck putting the two inside a soda straw and shrink wrap. Give you a bit of leeway to tweak the spacing and then seal it up.

Let me dig thru my notes and get to my rig this weekend. I'm using the Blackstar midi controller (I suspect its about the same as the HB) on my Amped 2. I use it's six switches to select the 3 channels, turn on/off the tuner, modulation, and boost. I'll get back to you.

In old EHX boxes it's hard to tell dodgy repairs from the original factory wiring :) although painters/duct tape is a bit of a giveaway. Would be cool to get this old beast up and running again.

I think I have the generic crap and it's worked fine. I use the whole blob and works well for holding switches in position and assorted things like that. I've had the same blob for about 10 years or so.
