    Paragon - Defective PCB ?

Check you don't have a little whisker of solder between the switch lugs - I had HOURS troubleshooting a board that would bypass without power, but would only work when it wasn't bypassed with power. I had a whisker of solder between the unused LED leg and output leg. No power, board worked...

    Where is everyone fabbing PCBs?

Usually the only thing I change is the solder mask colour - defaults work pretty well. Also check your quantities - it's usually the same price to get 10-15 of a single board than it is to get 5.

    Series Diodes: what gives?

The thought came up (before the edit), but I have tried a blocking cap and no difference. I built the PCB anyway, so I guess we'll see what it sounds like haha

    Series Diodes: what gives?

With a single diode, I see half the waveform squished by the forward voltage of the diode (using Schottkys), but it conducts in both directions

    Series Diodes: what gives?

I have roughly 1.2v p-p from my pickups, and 0.5-3.3v from my signal generator.

    Series Diodes: what gives?

Long story short, I am working on modifications for something and certain knob positions could leave me in a position where I've got a half-wave rectified signal. Logically, I'd expect it to clip half of the waveform off and reduce the other half by the diodes forward voltage, giving a very...

    Where is everyone fabbing PCBs?

PCBWay, using the one click export plugin from Kicad. Can't think of an easier process

    A E S T H E T I C Sanguine

I looked at them (and others available), but wasn't worth the +$20 postage to get to me (in Aus)

    A E S T H E T I C Sanguine

I did make a concession to just use an on/on, but I don't think I'm missing out on too much variation in sounds available.

    Sanguine - Drill Spacing?

Howdy, Planning a Sanguine, and as I hate painting I am going to get Tayda to drill/powder coat. I figure the hole spacings are gonna be in freedom units, so trying to convert over as best as I can. Can somebody please confirm the coordinates I'm using? If I convert the drill guide to a SVG...

Parentheses Mini - octave HORRENDOUSLY noisy.

That's what I thought. I had some board jank - I don't know if it was a manufacturing fault or I dicked something up while soldering, but the connection between Q3/Q4 was not going where it should be. Cut some traces, ran jumpers from R16 and suddenly everything works perfectly.

Parentheses Mini - octave HORRENDOUSLY noisy.

Actually, the more I play with this the stranger it gets. For somebody who has built one of these, does it add octave CW or CCW on the knob?

Parentheses Mini - octave HORRENDOUSLY noisy.

Yep, I've made dozens of pedals using that substitution and always flip it. Every function works except for the octave being noisy

Parentheses Mini - octave HORRENDOUSLY noisy.

Just finished a Parentheses Mini. Boxed up and although it sounds -good-, the octave side is just horrendously, horrendously noisy. PCB was populated with quality components (Nichicon electro's, X7R ceramics, etc), and is built as per the schematic except for a matched pair of BAT41's for the...
