In purchased some 2N5457s on Ebay and compared em to some I had from Small Bear. Using my cheapie component tester it reads- Small Bear reading: NJFET and gives me a “I” and “Vgs” reading Ebay reading: NPN and gives me a “hfe” and “Uf” reading Im thinkin I got fakes, or am I missing something...

Just finished this build, used the D9E’s. Simple and too the point as usual for my builds. On this build I decided to use my fancy new component tester and checked tolerances on every part before I installed them. Amazing the amount of caps I had that were out of tolerance. Worthwhile decision...
