Did you hear back on this issue? I had a BBD chip with questionable markings. They sent me a new one that seemed better/more legit without any discussion. So not sure how much is a conscious strategy and how much are mistakes in the jungle of components out there.

Just wanted to say thanks a lot for this @Chuck D. Bones ! I tried all five, but in the end I only choose the last/Shape mod. I felt some of the others changed the basic character of chorus/vibrato a bit more towards delay with modulation, but still happy to have tried them. I read elsewhere...

Did you manage to resolve the squeal? I just built a Megalith/Box-of-Rock and it does squeal a bit with high gain and all turned on. Alone with guitar and amp only it is quite fine, so I suspect the circuit is one that prefers to sit early in the chain. The Gain and Boost pots do scratch when...

I managed to swap in a new stronger LED (see this thread). And I think there is some improvement, but I'd still say that the B-side is more subtle and overall it is not a very intense phaser. I could still have errors in mine. Did you manage to get any improvement with your build?

Does the "R7 & R8 lowered to 10k to allow more current from the peak detector and lfo to reach the OTA" and the "IC1 is a 1458, because I like it's response in peak detectors" depend on each other? What sonic effect does more current from the peak detector (and LFO) to OTA give?
