    Kliche Overdrive No Sound

That doesn't sound like a power supply issue, that sounds like a short in the board that is letting current cook everything. I can't walk you through specifics, but here is what my process would be: 1. Visual inspection. Look at every joint to see if there is a unwanted connection (I once...

    first pedal build: cleaver boost

Correct. For example, the picture in the Aurum document is the typical way that pedalpcb shows the footswitch wiring.

    first pedal build: cleaver boost

Welcome to the forum. For a first build, I would avoid: 1. Soldering an FV-1 chip 2. Very crowded boards (until you get used to soldering in tight places). Compare the Hyped Fuzz with its packed board of 1/8th watt resistors compared to the Aurum. 3. Very large circuits with high part count...

    Quality of guitarpcbmania pcbs?

My Mystic board worked: https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/pcbguitarmania-black-mystic.9712/ I haven’t built their Pharaoh, but double check the build documents for the cap values. A lot of the internet has wrong info. Check my post in this thread regarding 47n, 470n, and 470p...

Breakout Board or Box - Pictures for Ideas ?

There are a bunch of different ways. I would just build each circuit on the same board (they can share the power and ground), and then jumper the output of one into the input of the other. And then just move the jumper and the breadboard in & out to reverse the order. Both of my breadboards...

Breakout Board or Box - Pictures for Ideas ?

Do you mean this: https://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2014/09/test-box-20.html?m=1 Or this: https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/protoboard/ I built the box in the first link and stuck it on a piece of scrap wooden shelving. The fastened a piece of angle iron to hold pots. There’s a good view...

    Noob pedal tinkerer just joined

Welcome! @BuddytheReow has put A LOT of good info in the test kitchen forum. Especially since you are already breadboarding, you can jump right in to a lot of his circuit breakdowns.

You mentioned boards. Did you find a source? I cobbled mine together onto an AionFX Osiris.

    Need help with components

I see multiple kinds of footswitches at Tayda. Which one did you see as sold out? https://www.taydaelectronics.com/electromechanical/switches-key-pad/stomp-switch/3pdt-stomp-foot-pedal-switch-fk-series-on-on.html Tayda has 560k resistors, I would use those. Or put two resistors in series that...

When's it okay to omit a charge pump?

Hmm. I guess in all cases, the LED resistor is assuming 9V. So you may want to increase the resistor to drop the LED brightness. If I’m doing the math correctly, it would need to be a little more than double to keep the same brightness.

When's it okay to omit a charge pump?

I did this with the Powersound Overdrive. I tweaked the filtering as discussed here: Thread 'Am I correct on: How to remove a charge pump?' https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/am-i-correct-on-how-to-remove-a-charge-pump.8833/ The only issue I can think of is if the pedal has some parts of the...
