What does the 22K on the output of the Guvernator do?

    Sorry. Corner frequency is 15kHz.

What does the 22K on the output of the Guvernator do?

I believe the 22k resistor with the 470pf capacitor creates a low pass filter (corner frequency around 15Hz) which is used to filter unwanted noise or hiss from the circuit. Keep in mind I’m not a EE, but a pharmacist. 😁

    Any replacement for relay?

Just fwiw, I’ve shopped at Newark Electronics countless times and I’ve found them to be just as legit and reliable as Mouser. 👍🏻

    Found it. 👍🏻

    Tube driver, sample reducer, RNGD

I would love to try and print this out. How do I obtain the file? Is there a website?

    Tube driver, sample reducer, RNGD

Did you 3D print the ECC81 tube holder or can I purchase that somewhere?

    Tube driver, sample reducer, RNGD

Truly awesome. I’ve had my own issues with this ‘internal’ tube driver project. It’s very nice to see successful builds. The bronze filters help keep the tubes from overheating? Have you played it for an extended amount of time? Truly wonderful builds. 👍🏻

    PCB Layout for Musical Effects

R.G. Is usually on the diystompboxes forum. I’m sure you would get a few decent leads over there. 👍🏻

    "The Bat" Distortion (Rat)...

Coda, there’s a pedal you should check out called The Drunk Beaver Bat Cold War. I think you’ll find it interesting. 👍🏻

The Matter of Tone: Legend of the Pendragon Overdrive

Fantastic build Will. You learn way more about circuits when they don’t fire right up. Excellent job in isolating the problem and finding a solution. Gold foil looks spiffy. How could you hate sockets? 🤣

Closed Circuit Booster / Limiter diodes ?

Comparing the forward voltage of these Schottky diodes: Bat42 = 400mV at 10mA forward current Bat46 = 450mV at 10mA forward current Bat85 = 400mV at 10mA forward current All 3 above diodes should have very similar results in this circuit.

    Abyss Build

Snazzy looking pedal. I would definitely hire that artist. Great work. 👍🏻

Germanium 2 Dist : what kind of diodes?

1N60, 1N34A, D9E......socket and see what you like.

Question about diodes I just received

They are all beautiful in their own way. 🤣 Test them out. I bet they all will work quite well for your needs. Make sure you test the cathode from the anode and don’t assume the band represents the cathode side. (Those sneaky Russians.....lol...I kid).

    Late by 1 minute. 🤣

    Pedal enclosure

Mouser carries the 125B by Hammond.... It’s just called the 1590N1 now. Same enclosure essentially.

    Dual Greer

Very clever. Thank you for explaining that. I was wondering why the led was jumpered. I always learn something from observing other people’s work.

    Dual Greer

I love this idea. Sounds like a wonderful combination. Help me understand something. You don’t have a voltage source going from the DC jack to EACH pcb. How is this done? I’m always looking for different ways to wire up dual and tri builds.

    Muzzle switched socket

I think you can learn a lot from this input jack. Take a look at the article and give it a go. You can always get the less complicated jack if it doesn’t work. 👍🏻

    Muzzle switched socket

Ok. This is a complicated jack. Here is some useful reading: https://www.digikey.com/en/articles/a-deep-dive-into-audio-jack-switches-and-configurations I know lug 4 is the tip, lug 8 is the ring and lug 9 is the sleeve. Now when the cable is inserted, this causes the tip (lug 4) to bend and...
