I don’t want to rag on him too much, he’s a nice guy and the deadendfx stuff is pretty cool, I just wish he’d build in some more tolerance with his pcb dimensions. But I do agree his pots wiring method doesn’t seem ideal from a mechanical perspective.

I did follow the calibration, but found those controls did not effect the distortion I was getting. However, I have made progress on this! I replaced the bbd chips this morning and it seems to have fixed things!

I've had issues being able to log in to the tayda dashboard in Chrome for a while now. Firefox works fine for me tho, but it'd be nice to not have to use a different browser each time I try to do any printing/ drilling

That change to 100K didn't seem to make much of a difference... those older bigger enclosure philosopher's tones were 12v pedals.... I wonder if they traced one of those and didn't realize it? edit - I wanted to test on mine on 12v but I'm using 10v capacitors so i might have to hold off...

I've been trying to find some info on what transistor gets used in the Black Mamba Tchula. I owned one years ago and regret selling it. I never popped it open to see what was going on as it was before I started getting into diy'ing pedals. Anyone know what transistor may have been used?

Howdy folks! I'm workin on the golden fleece clone and it has a fair bit of noise. I build it to the build docs originally and since it was pretty noisey I started substituting some other parts and it now has a 2n2222a transistor and bat41 clipping diodes. It is actually less noisey than it was...

I've actually since switched q1 to a 2n3906 and it fixed everything! I had someone mention that bc108b can be too much gain and after testing out some different transistors in q1 I think I agree!

well i reflowed some solder joints and the ticking is back... probably shoulda left it alone with the radio stuff lol :LOL:

this is the sound now, sounds great!! but at the end when I dump my guitar's volume to zero its got some issues... could this be another solder issue?
