SOLVED Odd parts sourcing 100n 50v bipolar electrolytic?

Yup, a standard 100nf film cap.

SOLVED Odd parts sourcing 100n 50v bipolar electrolytic?

If you look at their example build in the build doc. They used a film cap. That’s what I used in my build and it worked fine.

Yes, and you should be good there. Sorry, that’s all I have.

SOLVED Triangulum Boost High Frequency Noise

What exact part did you use for the charge pump? Certain versions make audible high pitch noise.

    2-in-1 with Charge Pump IC

The duo phase does it, so you should be fine.

    Lab rat expanding clipping options?

It might be easiest to just socket the diode spots and audition until you find your favorite 2. Most combos are going to sound fairly similar. High forward voltage LEDs like UV might not even noticeably clip at all.

    Lab rat expanding clipping options?

It looks like if you use an on off on type switch the center position will be no clipping. I think that’s a quick way to get another option.

    Lab Rat build!

I had a snakeskin astroverb for a while. I hated that amp so much. I ripped off the tolex and stained and varnished the cab wood underneath.

    No power - desolate fuzz

I see that and some long leads on the back of the pcb that could be touching. Hard to see through the flux.

    No power - desolate fuzz

If you are getting no bypass signal then the footswitch and/or wiring is suspect. You should have bypass signal even when there's no power applied to the pedal.

Clipping switches on the Danae Overdrive ... what exactly do they do ?

from their ad copy: "switches that allow you to toggle between smooth TS-style symmetrical clipping and aggressive SD1-style asymmetrical clipping". they are toggling clipping diodes. Edit: the schematic is in the build doc.

    NKT 217 transistor

Have you taken readings of its hfe and leakage? That will determine if it’s a functioning piece and what it can be used in.

    Phase II too subtle

Two things, first are you testing it in the dark? This pedal will not work with light hitting the inside of the enclosure. Secondly, what you’re describing sounds more like what would happen if you had swapped the trimpots.

    Trem/auto wah thing?

Look at the Electric Druid filterfx. It is an LFO wah with settings that combine those features.

    Random diodes in Durham designs?

The Devi multi board was after my time. I think dwarfcraft developed that. The stuff I was building was on home etched PCBs. There was one PCB for each family kind of the way to fuzzdog does it. Interesting fact, there were no diodes in any of the original designs. Transistors being used as...
