Sourcing Capacitor with color band question.

I found some on Ebay using the search term "axial multilayer ceramic capacitor".

Sourcing Capacitor with color band question.

They are axial (usually ceramic) capacitors designed to be installed by pick-and-place machines. Any capacitor type should sub fine there.

    1s1588 Test

They appear to be pretty standard silicon diodes. And both of those are very trusted vendors. You could sub 1n4148 for them and get the same results a lot cheaper. You can use your DMM to check that they are functioning diodes.

double Jeapardy boost quick question(please delete thread)

Imagining is not science! I’ll try again…. Was your pcb labeled with buffered bypass pads or true? How did you wire the foot switch? Both types have different wiring schemes. Pictures are a basic requirement for troubleshooting. The charge pump and those pads are not a concern (yet)

double Jeapardy boost quick question(please delete thread)

If it’s a true bypass effect and you have no bypass, that has nothing to do with the PCB. That’s going to be wiring or your foot switch.

Power issues for the new BE board

Is it possible your polarity protection diode is dropping the voltage? Bad/wrong part? I’d start there.

The Thing (Dynamorph from DeadEndFX) LEDs are always lit (and not in a good way.)

Agreed. I built it with a vtl5c9 and with a tayda LDR with a yellow led and the both behave the same. Save your money on that part.

    Tayda says what???

Tayda has eliminated the cheap option for tiny orders, but once you add some weight to an order the shipping comes down. I recently got $4.99 DHL from Tayda on a $100 order with enclosures.

Why Should We Clean Boards From Flux?

I can tell who has a shitty car that they wash regularly, but the inside is like an ashtray let loose with an infant in a dumpster. The thing that boggles me are the ones with beautifully layed out and executed artwork, but they execute the guts like an ashtray that let a toddler loose with a...

    DEMO Chalumeau (clean)

I think that’s a typo on their site. If you look they have their 16 pin socket listed as “18 pin” Edit: see next post.
