That pcb looks roached. The soldermask is scratched to hell. Tons of exposed and/damaged traces.

You don’t want it TOO sharp though. And use an undermine motion to avoid scratching the soldermask.

I use a small metal awl. Like what comes in an eye glass repair kit or mini screwdriver. It chips off cleanly in big flakes leaving nothing behind. Canned air to blow off the flakes and good to go with no goo.

I’m telling you guys, use the dry method of removal if the flux has cooled. It comes off clean in one swipe with solvent while it’s still warm, but after it’s set, physical removal is fast and super clean with no sticky residue.

I used to build for Devi in the day. Hit me up for info on those pedals. Fuzzdog has a lot wrong with many of his Devi ideas in his build docs. The SM/Vfm should be gated fuzz with no noise floor (not in chaos mode) and a dramatic difference in modes.
