    sushi box grand slampegg

I know it’s kinda against the ethos of diy scene, but if I were the OP I would just have two boxes rather than try and mangle a new sushibox! I’ve had enough mods go wrong to know sometimes it’s not worth it

    sushi box grand slampegg

It would be so so much easier to build and run a fdeck HPF into the slampeg - get the buffer at 10M, the HPF, phase…. Dual lock them together if it has to be one thing!

    Cepheid Chorus for Bass

Boss CE-2 is legit for bass as is - the only thing with chorus I like is a HPF on the chorus line.

    Frequency Interchange Filter range adjustment

unless you've got something happening between 190Hz and 250Hz you really need to filter out... does it need modifying? Everything else you can set in the current setting. It's also 12dB per octave filters - so not super clinical (but sound good) so I would be suprised if you needed that much...

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

I think that’s because it’s done on where the value is created. So if imported a load of pcb and components from China and then sold them via a web store straight into the US from the lower tarrif U.K. where I am, it would still be due the chinese tarriff as that’s where the goods value was...

Nobelium - tube bass preamp project

Isn’t that just a standard fender style tone stack between the first valve stage and the HPF?

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

I meant there's nothing wrong with the concept of a tax that's passed onto the consumer. In the case of the current US tariffs... I agree with you

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

Maybe, over here cheap imports bypassing any VAT or import duty are effecting the larger retail chains and the independent mom-n-pops family stores... but when squeezed it's the small players who go bust first and they won't have the same purchasing power and ability to absorb lower For...

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

that's less than 20% including shipping. The rest of the world would pay (subtotal + shipping) x VAT - which in the UK is 20% .

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

Looking at it in a balanced way - some of the changes are positive and needed, possibly not great for pedal builders but I think that removal of de minimis on duty is a positive thing - it will stop Chinese fast fashion brands being able to undercut the system of import duties and safety...

HYDRA Delay, is it supposed to do that??

I have no help whatsoever @Thud105 but I can hear what you're hearing in the video. Switch 1 on beat 1 Switch 2 on beat 2 Switch 1 and 2 on beat 2&3 - where the strymon is on beat 1&2 Switch 2 and 3 on beat 2&3

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

Suggestion .... If Robert moved here to the UK he could buy things in from JLPCB at our lower tariff rates - and then providing over 50% of the value of his product was his IP (which it would be in terms of his design) then sell into the US at our lower tariffs....

    1 Watt Resistors?!?

I've done that ... and then you know that you'll be short one resistor for a build where you've only got the 1W values... Order more and pay postage again - or just shove a massive slug of a resistor on...

Boutique Pedal Manufacturers Are Feeling the Tariff Pinch

pressed reply before finishing… The really crazy thing with her was firstly being so defensive of your ‘work’ when a robot wrote it - but also seemingly not being able to do it herself. Yould never get the short writing where the idea is killer but just needs a bit of polish - just walls of...

Boutique Pedal Manufacturers Are Feeling the Tariff Pinch

Im a designer and work in marketing …so words are important in marketing. we had a recent graduate who really struggled with copywriting - like she was writing but there was a load of “huh why are you saying that? What are you thinking” And she would get fairly defensive and never really was...
