I can’t tell from, the photo but are all the ICs completely inserted in to their sockets? I have had the trouble recently. One side inserts OK but the other is not the entire way in. I successfully built this a few months ago and modulation pedals are my nemesis.

I found the chisel tips much better over all for quick soldering. It eventually dulls a bit so I just file it down.

It appears the AVERY 2500 ink jet printer self-adhesive foil is not available in the USA.

Took a chance and bought them on ebay. I had to toss the first one I tried due to a low hfe. Good suggestion on starved voltage.

No trimmer just a bias pot. But the closer to max the better it sounded. I obviously did not spend a lot of time with it but I could not dial in the sound I expected for Spirit in the Sky. As mentioned, it sounded like a generic distortion box.

Just built it today and had some questions. There is a bias pot and I wondered if biasing needs to be done or is it for something else? It works but seems to be just another distortion/fuzz pedal. I need some more time with it before I decide if its worth boxing. Also, what are the chances...

What did you use for a guide to the parts since the build doc has been "coming soon" for long time. Some have recommended the Muffin Fuzz build doc but it's not an exact match.

I did. Works well. Resoldering worked. There were a couple unsoldered parts and IC sockets.

Try and relate it to the parts near the header pins. I built one and it works well but it took diligence to maintain good build techniques with that. Any parts.

For me it seems like modulation effects. Have had trouble or failures for the last 4-5.

Several things you may have already tried. Brush off all the, what looks like solder dust. Make sure all the ICs are full inserted into the socket. I have had that problem. I thought they were in but push them some more to see. I sometimes get ICs that are more deeply inserted on one side...

I’m a lttile late but I just built one. It is pretty noisy, at least running it through a breadboard. I still have to play with it but it does not phase shift much.

Thanks to everyone. This is the first time I've ever seen them specified in a pedal. I did a little research and there is an equation to compute a value if you know what frequency you want to filter.
