How much of a Big Muff's character is in the tone stack?

I prefer the toggle like you mentioned like the skreddy. I use an on off on ussually for 3 options. The problem with the eqd style to me is that id like to just have “stock” as an option and when ive messed with comparing I can’t really get an identical sound as stock, to my ears at least.

    Pendulum harmonic tremolo r11/r12

So i finally pulled this board out and saw the gotcha resistors. 2M7 (just when you think you have every used value on hand lol). So anyways these appear to be a voltage divider. I could easily do a series thing but I always that. I was thinking id just shove a 2m2 or 3m3 there, but i...

    Bugg daydream

Id highly recommend getting an audio probe set up. Even the act of just following the signal path through the schematic really can teach you a lot for future troubleshooting.

    Reverb Preferences

Ive never loved any of the diy reverbs. Though i havent tried the spatialist, the fv-1 ones are meh to me. And the belton as well. I do have two amps with true tube spring though and thats what i’m comparing that to. I have a boss rv-200 for the other stuff, and in my experience digital...

Batching changing from ref des to Value

Is there a way that I'm just completely missing to change the default making on components. Or even better batch change them. So in the pcb editor I want to have it show ref des. Then at the end is here an easier way then going through every component to change it to show value instead of...

    Anyone try the gt309 transistors?

I have noticed some variation in the same part types. Nothing out of spec but my first box of gt310bs i got a much wider range. I just sorted two boxes of 100 one was def higher hfe than the other. I didnt note leakage at all but none of them were above 100 as i recall. I suppose i could...

    Anyone try the gt309 transistors?

    First build component sourcing

Ive got a boutique tube screamer build right now to repair with all mojo parts. Annoying part is ill have to replace any thing bad with “mojo” parts. Though my current bet is a solder joint, havent opened it up yet.

    First build component sourcing

This is something i really wish i understood when i first started. I bought so many different op amps and transistors when i didn’t need to. And spent a chunk in shipping because of it.

My dumbass moment thats lasted two days

Just thought I’d share a pedal building dumbass moment. So i recently built a pedal for a guy it was more or less tweaking a circuit. I breadboarded the idea biggest thing was getting the tone stack right, and i felt pretty good about it. Went with a baxandall active. Get it all done...

Pedal Selling Questions - Testing and Customer Service Mostly

Ive sold quite a few pedals. Ive had a couple issues (one actually came back today and the problem was genuine). Which im fairly certain happened in shipping. Tone pot was now bad sounded fine as long as it was fully ccw, almost as soon as you started turning it went super thin. Positive...
