I love the fuzz/op amp big muff idea! I think I will stop tinkering with the idea and just bite the bullet. As long as it works I will be happy even if the Timmy isn’t interesting. If successful I might look into a more appropriate overdrive or a fuzz like you suggested. Probably the fuzz!

Thanks. Do you have an example of the Salem key in action? Or know how i might implement it here? I’m a bit of an amateur with theory. Open to other overdrive ideas if you have any? Timmy was chosen mostly because it’s simple.

Someone on a Facebook forum suggested instead of the mix pot i use an op amp mixer such as that used in the boss ce2 and walrus Julia. This seems like a good idea to me

The idea is that I really like the intermodulator sound from the Crowther Prunes and Custard but the overdrive sound is a bit meh. I wanted a decent overdrive with the ability to incorproate the cool prunes and custard sounds. I have the following questions. 1 - Will this work 2 - Any glaring...

Here is my rough idea. It is a simplified Timmy with the Prunes and Custard intermodulator and mix part. Is there any reason this would not work? I made the first and second gain go to GND instead of Vref. Timmy went to vref but I changed this to ground. Is this an issue?

Maybe the pot has stopped working? Measure resistance turning the knob when it is disconnected from power? If that is no help you could remove the pot and make sure it works. I have had this happen a few times especially if the pot is under pressure in an enclosure
