Start by reflowing the circled areas. These are just a handful of rough joints at a glance. The one on the footswitch is the circuit input. That could be the real issue. It wouldn't affect bypass only the circuit when engaged.

Make sure you see the tips above for the 9v jack soldering. You don’t want to solder it before you put it in the box. Sometimes the 9v legs are a little twisted.

I really like the chorus. It sounds great. I did the bbs so it wouldn't be as tight. I also used nylon screws and nuts from tayda to put mine together. It worked well enough.

I am almost done with my inchdown redux and realized I don’t have the 1uf non polar electrolytic on hand. Not a big deal, I have some on order. It did however make me wonder if I couldn’t just use a 1uf film or even mlcc in its place?
