Well finally got some measurements ! Ic: 1=0.12 2=4.5 3=4.5 4=0 5=0.12 6=4.5 7=7.2 8=0 Transistors from left to right on the board Q1 9.15 4.0 3.6 Q2 5.6. 5.04. 5.6 Q3 9.15. 7.36. 7.12 Q4 5.75. 3.9. 3.4. Q5. 5.55. The 2 other pins fluctuate from 2v to 0v when picking the Strings Q6 5.55...

I had better results with smd j201 than the regular genuine ones. Like Chuck said you should use lower spec j201, around .2v.

Quick update. I got the transformer from the electronic store here in Montreal... Didn't realize it was a 42tl013 and not a 42tm013 :/ I picked one up regardless and I believe be close enough to work. On my transistor tester it reads 641mh :) Just checked mouser.... It's also out of stock :(

I still have my boards unpopulated at the moment :/ I got a few other builds I need to finish before I get to it! I have a few different transformers on hand and I am planing to socket and test different ones to see what I like best :) I will be updating my findings in a couple of weeks :D

Just got my new mega328 transistor tester and used it to mesure the inductance of the 42tm003 transformer ... I get 2.5U xD about 5 times the inductance of the 42tm013. I dunno if I can trust the tester's reading without comparing it to a 013 :/ I have a electronic store in Montreal that sells...

I believe it's lug 3 to out pcb, lug 2 to out jack and lug 1 to ground but I could be wrong :/ I would use alligator clips beforehand just to be sure !

Yeah it's real simple. I just used a a100k pot. You just got to hook one lug on the "out" pad of the PCB, one lug to ground and one lug to the out jack. I don't remember exactly what lug goes where xD when I did it I used alligator clips to test everything before soldering :)

Here's another one I made a while back, the quarantine fuzz ! Such a nice PCB and big muff type fuzz. Looking at the raincoat schematic I only saw a 100nf to 10nf change, I should have socketed that cap just to see if it makes a big difference :p
