    Synth I’ve Been Loving You…

Korg Volcas are a great intro into the synth world. Fun, cheap, and easy to use. Good reviews. Still being made after 10+ years. I have four of them now. (I recently acquired the FM from a fellow forum member) The Volca Keys helped me to understand the basics of synth music making. And what...

Do you name your guitars and if so, what?

In my 20’s, my main guitar was a Strat I named Blanche, after my grandmother who had recently passed. When I hosted an open mic, Blanche got passed around a lot. A number of years later I acquired a classical, that I named Rose, because it’s red. And the fretboard is rosewood. Rose is a little...

    What's your favorite reverb build?

I don’t know about High Gain settings. But I like Belton’s for the always on reverb. The Sproing is top-notch, and it’s what I have on my board, as an always on. I have built a few of them, and a few GGG Reverb kits. Both are simple one knob reverbs, that don’t colour your tone. The Add-Verb...

Do you plan on running all of them at once? Because you should. They look fantastic.

Tried to carve out some room for DIY Pedal videos, but alas

Ya the sk-1 is becoming a legend. For the sampler I believe? Are you the person on kijiji, selling the Chorus pedal, and the Volca?

Tried to carve out some room for DIY Pedal videos, but alas

The Volca FM is what I should’ve purchased instead of the sample. Because I never use the sample. Which I bought to add “real” drum sounds to the songs/jams I like to make. I haven’t deviated from the stock sample sounds. Or added my own via connecting it to computer. I would rather add more...

    Most common annoyances

Also, people that try to convince people that NOS parts are worth a high price, because they were great 50+ years ago. Mojo bogus.

    Most common annoyances

Off board wiring LED’s is high on my list too. As is sanding enclosures. I like the look of bare, smooth, shiny silver enclosures. And when I sand them, I do three or four at a time. Outside, with a mask on. After putting on the headphones, choosing some tunes, and smoking a joint of course...

Tried to carve out some room for DIY Pedal videos, but alas

I bought the Volca Beats to have a simple drum machine that I could practice guitar with. Within months I bought the Keys. Then the Sample. They are a whole bunch of creative fun. And a gateway into styles of music I had heard, but not listened too. Also… the Volca Beats snare mod is worth the...

My vote is for more Korg Volca videos.

Whats your favorite octave fuzz PCB

I like adding a green ringer to a fuzz. And that’s what I use on my board. But as far as Octave Fuzz goes, I like the Super Fuzz. I have a BYOC that gets played a few times a year. The chugging sound I get with it is fun at home, but not a sound I use when I gig. Not yet anyway. I suggest...

    RangeFinder - Bias discussion

Get that bias trim pot out of there. And get it out in front with the Volume and Range. I have started to do that with most of the circuits that have a bias trim pot. Like Chuck said, every cap on the Range knob will have a different smooth-splatty bias position. Trust the Wizard. That being...

Circulator(Boneyarded) and Hyped Fuzz with mods from these forums

The hyped fuzz mod is fun. I have it on a foot switch. But I think a toggle switch may be the better option.

    Enclosure Drilling

Paper templates. Hand drill. Step bit. On a flat surface. Painters tape on the enclosure, to prevent sliding, or scratching while drilling. I scrape the step bit with a 3.5” deck screw between drilling holes. The residual aluminum clings to the bit and can/will mess up a new hole. I use the...

Looking PCBs from USA to UK

I wanted to add my Canadian prospective. My last order from PedalPCB was $65us, plus $16us shipping. About $120 Canadian, after tax, fees and exchange. So, 10 boards (on sale) from Pedalpcb is about $12 Canadian each board, including all the fees. Delivery time is about 10 days on average. But...

Tascam to release new type ii cassettes next month

My Fostex is over an hour away. I am in the process of moving. Half of my stuff is here, the other half there. The next time I get a few minutes with it, I’ll start looking at the transport. But I may have a ton of questions. For instance, where do I get new belts?

DEMO Two Milfs- flanger on flanger

The first three notes are unmistakable. Good choice of song to show off the pedals. A subtle simple riff with space between the notes that can show off the Flange. Honestly, great demo. Nothing over the top to distract from the effect.

DEMO Two Milfs- flanger on flanger

Excellent demo. That little mellow riff is sweet. I bet if you put some words to it, it would be a hit. Write something personal, about wanting a lover to stay. Or how you’d miss them. And how they never listen, and only hear what they want to. I don’t know, just brainstorming.
