Interesting to note that an LM13700 OTA can be directly replaced by a NE5517 OTA. I haven't been aware of the later one so far, which is seemingly out of production.

I prefer powder coated enclosures, but these always sold out at musikding.de and they are way more expensive at other domestic vendors. Thus I ended up do the painting job myselfs. A common modification of the TR-909 Bass drum uses a similar trick: Here the fixed resistor R52 is replaced by a 10k poti to introduce more distortion. Pitch the bass drum as high as it gets and you've got instant Teckno.

Unlikely source of error: A faulty DC power socket. Inner pin does not make contact once the jack is plugged in. A least this was easy to find and to replace.

The data sheet for the TL072 and OPA2134 state maximum power supply at +/- 18V, whereas +/- 15V for the NE5532. Thus the later is somewhat boarderline here.
