    OPA4134 - what should I build?

Definitely. TL074 is general purpose, NE5532 (dual OpAmp) is Hifi, OPA4134 is HighEnd.

    OPA4134 - what should I build?

Phonopreamp. By far better harmonic distortions than the TL074.

Need a pedal idea for a specific enclosure

"Fence Driver" would make a good name for a pedal. Or did farm pedals that already?

    Old Solder

It works best if you're using a soldering station from the same decade.

    Skeptical buffer: C1 (Ceramic 3p)

Well, 3p that can also be realized by taking two 1 inch long pieces of (insulated) wire and twisting them. I've spotted that on the PCB of the Simmon SDSV drum.

Here's my favorite site for finding the best combination for a less common resistor value Series/Parallel Approximator

    Old Solder

I'm using pretty much the same solder/rosin combination Sn60Pb40 without any problems, and that stuff is from the 70ies.

Funny little boxes binge- Stone Age, can of Worms and Plaid Preamp

The graphic work is really great. From those three, Can of Worms and Plaid Preamp are still on my to do list.

Ordering from USA to EU using Stackry

Did anyone of you guys use Stackry to ship a guitar pedal to an EU country (i.e. Germany)? I would like to hear your experiences regarding costums handling (looks like you have to electronically submit a form to the German costums office, if the value is >150 EUR including shipment!) and payment...

    Missing Build Docs / Schematics

Are the schematics of the "Nein Fuzz" left out in the build documentation on purpose?

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Good point, but from the toxicological point of view, the danger excerted by organic lead compounds is way higher. That's why we have unleaded fuel for decades. I see the most danger in small batteries that could be swallowed accidentally. Same for those tiny but strong Neodym magnets. Simply...

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Never change a running system. As long as my supplies last I will stick to good ole solder.

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

In production it certainly makes a difference. Chips may pop out of their sockets, not only in rocket science. But all my perf board builds are prototypes!:)

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Honeywell Rondostat HR-20E (programmable radiator valve). The increment encoder wasn't working properly any more, causing jumps of the value in the opposite direction. Applying some solvent spray "solved" the problem.

    Why do YOU build pedals?

Peck "Atlas of Human Anatomy" seems to be a must for an artist, although I found "Figure Drawing without a Model" by Ron Tiner way more helpful. And if you're thinking you can't draw at all, "Drawing on the right side of the brain" by Betty Edwards is a revelation.

    Why do YOU build pedals?

Got back to soldering when I discoverered DIY forums for eurorack stuff about 13 years ago. First "pedal" build was a "rat" as a module to distort my TR-909 bass drum. Two years ago I got more into effects and ended up buying a used electric guitar. I particularly like that pedal schematics are...
