Yeah... In the two months I sat on my partslist before ordering, prices jumped at least 30% on pretty much everything but the MoBo, monitor, and case.
Last PC I built was during the GPU powered crypto bullshittery :ROFLMAO:
Got to work slapping this thing together. Still waiting on the RAM to arrive before I can boot it up
Also put together a cheap desk to accommodate the new setup. Have a monitor mount and some isolation stands on the way
Correct on both counts
I only messed with the resistors in the LFOs, but swapping out the caps for other values might yield better results for the lower speeds. Any higher than 11k on the slow LFO and it lost all of its depth.
The faster LFO could probably be made adjustable with a 50kb dual
Moonn's AluTonez (SHO pushing a LofoMofo) and Mean Queen (Bastard Muff fuzz Klon mashup) running parallel. I wasn't particularly impressed with either circuit on their own, so I figured I'd mess with em in parallel. Together they sound pretty awesome in a filthily scuzztastic way. They both have...
I don't care for the modulation provided by this, but the full mids superfuzz variant it houses is rad, though it does lack some output volume stock
Mostly stock, mods being -
R9 reduced to 1k for better octave matching, and attached to an spdt to kill the octave
R17 increased to 270k for more...
Awesome, thank you!
I need to clear the jobs on my bench, then I'll give this one a go. If needed, I'll throw a buffer in
Yes, I'm wanting to completely remove the HX from the path (tails are fine, but I don't use delay or reverb anyway)
Close, but not quite what I'm wanting. I basically want to take the HX out of the chain, leaving only the dirt.
I feel like I've seen something that could do that previously (think it was used on a delay) but can't seem to find it on the googs
Didn't particularly care for either of the dirts on their own (ones overbearingly bright, the other much too woofy for me), so I slapped em together with a blender
Gonna tinker a bit more before I call it done
Does anyone have a schematic for a switcher to take a pedal out of an FX loop?
My use case is the HX FX- I want to have my gain pedals in the loops, but want to be able to run them stand-alone with a button press
So, thinking about this concept, I think it could be cool, but might work better with a reverb. My buddy's got a few ambient things he wants built, and he loves the blast switches, so I'll try it on at least one of those and report back
