    What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

My Moonn order from July finally arrived, and came with some rad decals... Sadly, it is missing quite a few things, so gotta try to reach out to Nell again

DEMO Mask Audio Electronics Helvetica 92

Built to the doc, except R7 which is reduced to 470r for more lower gain range, and R18 which is 18k because I didn't feel like digging out a 20k This is a pretty rad take on the transistor Big Muff topology. Gets rid of the clipping diodes and third stage filtering, and has had the tone stack...

DEMO Anudder day, anudder Turbo Rat 😮‍💨

Since putting together these two most recent Telemasters, I don't even touch the Meteora. Being solid maple, it's on the heavier side, and the Alumitone is just a bit too dull for my Tele loving tastes these days. I need that scrangly clanging twang The mods do help fatten and tighten it up a...

DEMO DeadEnd FX Charonium (LAL Misty Cave)

Outside of the fine tuner and increased speed capacitor for the LFO, and omitting the diode for the LED, this one's built to the doc Distortion is courtesy of one of my Rats. At some point I plug in an expression pedal Housed in an NOS Bud Box CU-234, and labeled with a Posca pen This...

    What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

New anvil day. Still need to work on my alignment, but holy heck did the punching come out clean

    What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

I was so tempted by those boxes, but by the time I'd decided to pull the trigger, they'd all sold . How's it look in person? And, it's been a minute since I bought any boards not meant for commissions, so I treated myself to a few Mask Audio boards, and he threw in some freebies

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

This was the simplest and most difficult commission I think I've done... FuzzDog buffer w/ the inverter on a stomper

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Assembling this baritone guy for a friend, after he borrowed one of mine for a bit. The body and neck are both sprayed with a thin layer of nitrocellulose, so I'm gonna prime it with some shellac to give a base for a polyurethane top coat for durability It's gonna be getting a pair of JMWRs...

    What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

    I've noticed you haven't built / demoed a Nutty Fuzz 🤷🏻

    What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Possibly later today. Gotta go spray some parts for a friend's jazzmaster build, and then finish up the last commission in my queue

    What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

It's a keeper. After messing with the dipswitches a bit, it can do everything from a gritty, clangy overdrive up to "how's this amp still producing sound?" I do wish the two master dipswitches were external stomps, though.

    DEMO DogTron OctoBlaster

Another commission, this time from a bassist wanting something filthy, funky, and classic (And, I used an actual bass for this demo. Though, I did screw up and recorded with my Twin sim instead of the SVT I setup specifically for this demo 😅) The Ocelot board is the most tweaked, as the goal...

Got the circuits popped n mounted, but gonna wait til tomorrow to finish the wiring

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Does the workbed count? Anyway, had to grind the inside of this 1590D to get one of the circuits to fit

Son of Ben - Second set of pots

Since they're both just voltage dividers, I'd just switch the wipers. This will halve the values of the pots, so you may want to double up there, but there will be no meaningful interaction otherwise. Here's a quick vid using 1MC pots- lugs 1&3 tied together, wipers floating

    What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Just got this assemblage of misfits courtesy of @Dan0h Will give me some stuff to dick around with for a bit. Already swapped the transistors in the Duocast for a BC549, and an unmarked silicon that measures 41 hfe, as the OC71 and BC207 were fairly anemic sounding. Now it gets up into huge n...
