    What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

But, it looks to be 5mm high or something. Is it an aesthetic thing to cover the switch's threading?

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Well, this is getting out of hand (especially since most of these are my own cuttings), and pissing my brother off, as we can't sit on the windowsill with two persons anymore... So mom will get this next week for her birthday, a precise fit to be screwed into the window frame (seen partially...

    MBP Kingmaker

For whoever may care: I noticed a discrepancy with the build doc and this review / pedal rundown of '82. In its stock settings should run into self-osscilation somewhere at the 3/4 of the dial. Via: https://www.muzines.co.uk/articles/pearl-effectors/4366

    MBP Kingmaker

Fraudhacker will come. Looking to make my Bean order shipment worth its while, so.... Kingmaker or Collosalus, which should I grab as a complimentary? (Already have the A/DA and Lovetone Flanger boards)

A few V3204 BBD chips available

Also of interest, the service manual of the BF-2 / BF-2B, showing parts differences. https://manuals.plus/m/4c753f811e6649981fe4dc560e21bda12003e23f0be79ca3ab77aad4046ce499.pdf And some details on the differences between BF-2B and HF-2 (biasing and two caps, if I read things right very...

A few V3204 BBD chips available

I learned that PedalPCB's Byzantium or Mad Bean's Fraudhacker can be used. @blackhatboojum shared this in a build report: Thanks! When I referred to the BF-2B, I was actually referring to my Blackhat edition of the standard BF-2 flanger. Which is just that. A Boss BF-2. I can answer your...

Tau Pipe Phaser V1.02 Build (Joint Effort)

Thanks man, for the details on that slow switch, as it's the one thing I need to implement myself on the old board. Seems easy enough, putting the cap right on the switch and to the pin on U6.

Tau Pipe Phaser V1.02 Build (Joint Effort)

LFO: slow mode option has been added (simply connect L* to UP2 or DOWN1 via SPDT switch). It's indeed that cap!

Tau Pipe Phaser V1.02 Build (Joint Effort)

Lovely pipe visual! No slow switch for you? (LFO: slow mode option has been added (simply connect L* to UP2 or DOWN1 via SPDT switch).) It's a regular complaint with phasers, that folks find that the LFO isn't going slow enough for them... Guess it's for people who don't really want to hear...

How to solder to a broken potentiometer?

You could've twisted multi-strand wire into "lugs" and give them a good twist-around over the legs. Anyway, to fix this, a bit of flux on the wire and flowing some solder into it should make it grab rather quickly onto the leftover bits.

Looks to be a little more explaination on how it works these days, teasing all three pedals' tweaks within the same format... https://kernom.com/pages/technology

    Electrical shock survivors

We don't got Romex here. Wonderded why. Found a highly liked joke instead: "After WWII we sent all the existing round romex machinery to Europe for the rebuilding efforts. We sent them the round because it’s easier for their skinny soccer playing arms to pull through drilled holes. We retained...

    Stereophonica

Is that noise part of the original echorecs as well? Even if if so, you'd think with modern high end components would have at least eliminated some of the issues. Then again, the tapeheads of the past might be better than today's.

My pedal building is going to go slow. Got myself an injury.

I wasn't allowed to use box cutters anymore during craft class in elementary school. Kept cutting myself. That never really changed... I never outgrew clumsiness. Must be why I like slapstick so much. Relatable. 😅 With dodgeball being frowned upon these days, I suppose learning how to not cut...
