I just finished this one…The Able Archers. It’s a fictionalized account of the Cold War in 1983 and how close the US and USSR came to nuclear war. A riveting and incredible book.

Yes, for resistors I filter by the product Series, power, and tolerance. It didn't occur to me to filter by size.

...or at least the same size. I just received some Yageo resistors from Mouser. Two of the values I ordered are much smaller than any other 1/4W resistor I've every purchased. They look like 1/8W resistors. But the Mouser specs say they're 1/4 W. I'm wondering if there are any possible...

I got into building pedals because I wanted to try and recreate sounds from guitarists and songs that I love, and also because I like to build things. I've found I really enjoy everything about pedal building, from analyzing what parts I need (with my ridiculously complex spreadsheet)...

I’m not very experienced with troubleshooting so take this FWIW… Have you tried testing the PCB outside of the enclosure? I’ve had a few cases where a PCB worked prior to boxing, but had weird issues after. You might get some clues at least if it exhibits different behavior outside the box...
