I cannot comprehend how it's possible to play a fretless instrument. Playing the upright bass is my second musical wet dream, the first being playing the bassoon.
Maybe one day when space and finances are not tight.
I'm currently in Malaga and under the influence of a few Spanish beers and one Belgian Duvel.
Despite eating two empanadas I'm still not all there. I skimmed through the thread and have no idea what happened. But it was fun!
Flats or rounds, I only change them if they break of don't tune up anymore.
In some instances new rounds do sound better but I can't justify the expense and I dislike the tone change so I stay with old string tone.
My bare minimum is a tuner and my precious Finally v3 with a 12AX7 with the HPF on by our friend @vigilante398
But for color I throw in a phaser and a chorus because I play in a cover band and my Nano+ has two empty slots
That's great. I suggest you explore the trimpots to find the Taco settings that work best for you. I initially set mine to the voltages shared by owners of the JHS pedal but I found better settings for my rig. I love this pedal, it's my dirt pedal when I perform solo.
If you want some fun books with beautiful scenery and lovable quirky characters, aka Finland and the Finns, I cannot recommend enough the novels of Arto Paasilinna. Start from this classic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Year_of_the_Hare_(novel)
I lived through the entire decade yet I still can't believe the 80s happened.
I'm glad I started the thread, you guys are coming in clutch with the schematic links!
