I have built one of these and it worked great other than it seemed to thicken my tone.In any event I hope some others can help you with this issue. I will also take a look and see what I can see,
Edit: I double checked all of your resistors and they are correct
I looked at the empty enclosure for a week. Then I drilled the footswitch hole and D.C. - and looked at it for two more weeks. Then I put it together over a few days. This is a magical and wonderful circuit which I enjoy. I have to thank @Harry Klippton for the inspirational 1590a thread: a...
I understand - I stockpile enclosures and components. Today I wanted more black hammer enclosures like the one I put an Article 59 in but Tayda sold out of every size.
I followed the build documents exactly including using BC 549C instead of the BC 549B that I used on the first build. I was prepared to swap out components but it sounds wonderful. I have to think it was a problem with my build the first time. I’ve certainly got a lot better at building and...
Some folks do not like this circuit and I was one of them. This build is different. It sounds terrific. I socketed everything so that I could change things out if the circuit sounded bad; It sounds great. I would put this one on my board. It has a creamy overdrive that can get fuzzy if you crank...
I have been using the leaf type without issues. It seems to me that the IC is leaf, and it fits the leaf socket as it should. The machined type is a round hole which does not seem ideal for a leaf type IC leg.
NOTE: It looks like my C4 is incorrect in these builds. It should be a 1n instead of the 100n that I have installed. FYI: the D3lay pedal worked great and had good volume, but the Threeverb does not quite have unity even with the volume knob all the way. I only noticed today and I do not have...
I love this circuit and this is the second one that I have built. I realize I never did a report for the first one so here is the second. I tried to give a distressed look to the 125b with layers of paint and sanding, I applied a clear coat over vinyl labels (1/2 inch and 1/4 inch). I enjoy the...
It does have mids and I think it could serve most guitarists who like dirt. It is sweet to my ears but I prefer a circuit that can also have more options: transparent option/mid option/OD and dirt option - so my number one favorite od is a the ADHD, and the Tommy III is a close second.
